Kids (and adults) will love discovering the multiple gadgets within: a platform for Darth Vader to talk to a hologram of the Emperor, a meditation chamber for Darth Vader with a crane to remove his helmet, turbo laser cannons on the bridge that really discharge, an escape shuttle releases in case of emergency, a storage closet for Stormtrooper rifles, and a bridge that slides open. Your Guide to Collecting LEGO Star Wars Sets imageThe little plastic snap-together blocks, LEGOs,, are among the most popular children s toys available, firing the imagination of both boys and girls. However, aside from pure, free-form inventiveness,...Read More about Your Guide to Collecting LEGO Star Wars Sets If you are constantly blown away by the opening scene of the original Star Wars, where a huge Imperial Star Destroyer comes flying overhead onto the screen, we have a feeling you’re going to love this massive, incredibly-detailed LEGO version of the ship. This giant Imperial Star Destroyer, named the ISD Tyrant, was made entirely out of LEGO components (minus some LED string lights that aren’t up and running yet) by Imgur user doomhandle, who says it’s over 4-and-a-feet long and weighs almost 70 pounds. This isn’t an exact replica of an Imperial Destroyer from any canonical source (“I took some liberties with the back of the ship — oh well, official representations of the ship differ a lot as well”), but that actually makes it even cooler, because he gave the ship its own original crew and Sith.

You can actually change this giant from “display mode” to “play mode,” so you can treat this like a giant toy instead of something you’d be terrified to stand too close to lest you knock it over. Besides having multiple levels and tons of accessible rooms like the bridge, canteen, barracks, and conference room—just to name a few—and there’s even a Sith meditation chamber where his own original Sith, Eno Rathis, can sit and focus on his Dark Side training. This would be incredible just as something to look at, but with so many interior aspects to explore (“It was a high priority for me to have everything come apart as elegantly as possible”), it’s almost impossible to think he made this from scratch. The amount of care and detail that went into this makes it one of the most impressive LEGO builds we’ve come across. We have some more pictures in our gallery below, but make sure you look through the many photos he took of all the interior parts. Hell, he has TIE Interceptors that are made of 320 pieces themselves and the hanger can fit a rebel cruiser!
