Price includes breakfast and park tickets for two days. Individual park tickets from £37 when booked at least seven days in advance at legoland.co.uk Where: Nearest station is Windsor & Eton Central, approx two miles. By road M3 (J3), M25 (J13 North), M4 (J6). Performance: Half a million bricks make up the epic new Death Star, the focal point of Legoland's Star Wars exhibit. At 10ft high and weighing 860kg, it's big. But the scale of the display is enhanced with 16 Alliance ships swooping in and Luke Skywalker 's X-wing Starfighter waiting for battle. We were staying in the hotel, a good 20 minute walk away through the theme park away. By the time we'd made the trek to the top of the hill four-year-old Jude had high-fived enough Chewbaccas, stormtroopers and (once) Han Solo he was in full nagging mode, so keen was he to see the full display. There are 1,500 separate models made from more than two million bricks, with sound and light effects to bring to life seven iconic movie scenes. The Lego Movie 4D was an absolute hit too, and not to be missed.

Quibbles: This is kid heaven, and parents are unlikely to mind the unashamedly child-centric hotel. But after a long day on your feet, a decent-sized, comfortable bed with pillows your head sinks into shouldn't be too much to ask. Alas, we had a cramped, hard sleep - and the pillows were rubbish. Verdict: A perfect weekend adventure for the kids that'll live long in their memory. For adults, it's remarkably stress free because the little ones are so happily entertained. 1 Day + 1 Day FREE :date Available from: 2 Days + 1 Day FREE :date Available from: Winter Family Escapes :date Available from: Splash and Stay - 2017 :date Available from: Santa Sleepover - Resort Hotel :date Available from: Under 3yrs in a bedBabies Under 2yrs requiring a cot Visit one of the most impressive and biggest models ever created for the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort!
