(s12)Boys' Nightwear & SlippersWelcome back, Wednesday Warriors! It’s the best time of week, and we are so pumped to blow some cash on a fat stack of comics. We’re all gonna die sometime, so before you go, you might as well stuff your soul full of that sweet, sweet comic book goodness.

In that spirit, arm yourself with a few recommendations–be an educated buyer. And for you big spenders, we also have a complete list of this week’s releases. So go crazy, kiddos. Buy some freaking comic books. Written By: Gerry Conway Art By: Ryan Stegman Colors By: Sonia Oback and Jesus Aburtov Letters By: VC’s Joe Caramagna If there’s one thing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows makes readily apparent, it is that Ryan Stegman is the greatest Spider-Man artist of this generation. For those who grew up reading Spidey comics drawn by McFarlane, Larson, and Romita Jr., this stuff is a godsend. Stegman and colorists Sonia Oback and Jesus Aburtov harness an energy and grace on these pages that few art teams could hope to capture. It’s bursting from the panels, exploding with movement and life. The spirit of Spider-Man lives in Stegman’s linework; this is how the webhead was meant to be. Marvel has shuffled creative teams around a lot recently, especially artists, but Spider-Man needs Ryan Stegman.

Keep him here, Marvel. Written By: Rick Remender Art By: Matteo Scalera Colors By: Moreno Dinisio Letters By: Rus Wooton There are moments when it seems like things are coming together for the characters in Black Science. For a second, it feels like they could pull all this madness together and overcome. Then, you get an issue like Black Science #28 and people are clawing their own eyes out and getting split in half. Rick Remender and Matteo Scalera’s ever changing science-fiction epic refuses to give you a moment to breathe. It’s relentless and impossible to lock down; the moment you think you have Black Science figured out, it pivots and everything changes. This series is consistently amazing, even when it’s toying with our emotions and melting our minds. Written By: Brian Azzarello Art By: Eduardo Risso Colors By: Eduardo Risso and Cristian Rossi Letters By: Jared K. Fletcher The last page of Moonshine #5 is brilliant. Eduardo Risso lets a single panel consisting of a close up of a character and a silhouette serve as the issue’s biggest reveal.

It’s a perfect example of what makes this comic so special. It’s a small, almost simple story, the Azzarello and Risso deliver with depth and intrigue. In lesser hands, it’d be a one-shot, but these guys mine the richness of the characters and setting. Moonshine is mesmerizing, a sojourn nightmare that you wish would never end. Yeah, it’s about werewolves and bootleg booze, but there’s so much more going on here. Azzarello and Risso can do no wrong. Their touch turns the water to moonshine. Brilliant stuff all the way through. Written By: Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart, and Babs Tarr Art By: Babs Tarr Colors By: Babs Tarr Letters By: Aditya Bidikar The coolness factor of Motor Crush just keeps rising. With each issue, this book gets better and better. From the bright, glowing daytime races to the dark, neon illegal street battles, Motor Crush delivers high-octane fun, page after page. The deeply troubled Domino Swift is quickly backing herself into a corner that seems impossible to escape, but she’s not going down without a fight (or a race, for that matter).
