Rainer Nowak, a freelance artist, needed 3,000 hours to complete the project, and did so without the help of an instructional manual. The finished article is five metres long, two metres wide, 1.7 metres tall, and weighs approximately 600 kilograms. Nowak said he had fulfilled his dream of "creating something unbelievable out of Lego blocks".
