Space Camp provides kids with the opportunity to learn about life on a spaceship. They launch a rocket and build an egg-stronaut re-entry craft, planetary orbits are explored along with gravity and interstellar bodies. Kids get to make a real comet!Weekly Summary:The first day is all about the physics of space! Campers will learn about Newton's Laws of motion and gravity, or the lack thereof, in space.




The second day campers learn about planets and comets. The campers will work together to build a real comet, made out of rocks, water, sand, metal, glass, and dry ice. They also learn about the sun and what stars and planets are made out of, doing a few hands-on activities. The third day is when we build our rockets! On Thursday, we will plan to launch our rockets! These use real gunpowder engines and can soar up to 1000 feet high! The last day of camp is all about life in space. We will eat space ice cream, watch videos filmed on the space station, and build safe ships for our egg-stronauts, which we will launch from the highest place we can find. Any of the eggs that make it to the ground alive receive a very special surprise! This one is super fun for kids of all ages!Crime Scene Investigations Camp is a favorite. Kids conduct cool science experiments using DNA, fingerprinting, fiber analysis and anatomy. They collect clues, identify suspects and solve crimes. Campers go home with their very own CSI equipment and badge. 




Weekly Summary: Campers will start the week learning what CSI is all about! Campers will be in Detective School passing tests (activities) to earn a "real" detectives badge. The badge comes with the camper’s photo and all identifying information, which the campers make up in a previous camp day. Each day they will add to their very own CSI Kit. Campers will lift fingerprints, footprints, and splice real DNA from an orange. Using microscopes campers will identify evidence and learn about it at the micro level. On the last day of camp, the campers will work together to solve crimes! Mr. Bond and Ionic Bond will set up an entire crime scene where campers will unearth clues with all of the items from their CSI kits. This camp is super fun for anyone who likes riddles, but also anyone who enjoys searching for scientific clues! *All campers dropped off after 9:15am and picked up before 4:00pm must be signed in and out by a parent/guardian in one of the camp offices.**After 4:30pm, campers will be brought to Late Stay.
