The amount of time the pools remain filled depends on location and time of year. Vernal pools are a shallow type of pool that dry up regularly. You can learn more about their importance, the native animals and plants, and the work done to conserve and make new vernal pools on this website.

The Town of Newfield, NY has two constructed vernal pools as well as many natural pools that we would like to help preserve. If you watch our Job Boards, you know that Lego was looking for a Senior Design Director this summer. As it turns out, that one job was just a drop in the bucket: The company has been on a hiring spree this year, picking up over 3,500 new employees in the first half of 2016, bringing their total team to about 18,500 people. In short, Lego is growing like crazy. They're building out their factories in China, Mexico and Hungary, with the aim of making the latter two facilities able to "potentially double" their output, according to the company. Quartz looked at the company's revenue/profit numbers and found that they're absolutely crushing Mattel and Hasbro, independent of employee populations:They're also growing faster than both companies:Lego is also in the process of designing a Sustainable Materials Centre, which will "deliver on the LEGO Group's ambition of ensuring that all raw materials used for manufacturing LEGO products, including packaging

, are sustainable by 2030."On top of that, they've set the ambitious goal of having "all energy consumption balanced by renewable energy by 2020," and to that end, Lego has invested in a wind farm off the UK coast. It's coming online next year and "will be able to supply CO2-free power equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 230,000 households."Says Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer John Goodwin:Keep watching those Job Boards; another design position is bound to pop up.mifold Grab-n-Go Booster Seat - Slate GreyThis item ships for free.* Choose a SquareTrade Protection Plan Details SquareTrade 2-Year Furniture & Baby Gear Protection Plan:Decline Protection20% off any ONE regular-priced gear item when you use promotional code NEWGEAR20 at checkout! - (Details)FREE Shipping on ANY purchase of $29 or more. mifold® - the Grab-and-Go Booster Seat® is the most advanced, compact and portable child car safety seat in the world. It's more than 10x smaller than a regular booster and it's just as safe.

mifold works in the exact opposite way to a traditional Booster Seat, sold separately. Instead of lifting the child up, mifold brings the seatbelt down. It does this at three points: there are belt guides on either side of the child's hips, to hold the lap belt correctly against the bones and off the soft stomach. These belt guides are adjustable to three sizes to make sure that the belt is always held snugly in place. There is a third clip on a strap that pulls the seatbelt chest strap down correctly onto the bones of the shoulder, away from the face and neck. So like a regular booster, mifold holds the seat belt in exactly the correct position on the bones of the hips and the bones of the shoulder, without needing a big, bulky seat to lift the child. In a collision, the child is protected in the same way. mifold simply works to hold the adult seatbelt correctly on a child. The mifold Grab-n-Go Booster Seat - Slate Grey Features:10x smaller than a regular booster seat and just as safeThe most advanced, compact and portable booster seat ever inventedDesigned for kids ages 4 to 12, 40 to 100 pounds and 40 to 57 inches tallFolds up to fit into a child's backpack, glove compartment or bagSafety tested and exceeds NHTSA standard FMVSS 213
