The SLS will send an Orion spacecraft into a large orbit around the moon, deeper into space than any human has been, before splashing into the ocean off the coast of Baja, California 25 days later.If that goes well, the next test will see humans take the Orion on a two-week mission close to the Moon and, hopefully, back to Earth safely.NASA says it can get people there by the end of the 2030s. Some time after that, humans may live there all the time.“There have been challenges, and there will be more ahead, but this review gives us confidence that we are on the right track for the first flight of SLS and using it to extend permanent human presence into deep space,” said Bill Hill, deputy associate administrator of NASA’s Exploration Systems Development Division, in a release.

Please click a logo below to upgrade your browser to fully experience our site.Behind closed invitation-only doors at Toy Fair 2014, LEGO revealed their upcoming construction kits to be released throughout the year, many featuring big name licenses like Disney, Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. But the biggest attraction of the thousands of LEGO bricks was front-and-center, the public debut of the upcoming Ghostbusters kit, featuring the four main characters – Ray, Egon, Peter, and Winston – along with an ECTO-1 vehicle. The highly-anticipated building kit was created through LEGO’s Cuusoo program in which fans can submit their own designs to be voted on and ultimately created. LEGO Ghostbusters are due out in June 2014 for $49.99.
LEGO Star Wars had plenty of exciting reveals, including the Cantina, Star Destroyer, and some new characters and ships from Star Wars Rebels. More Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kits are on the way, both from the Nickelodeon show (seen below) and from the upcoming live action movie, which unfortunately had sets that could not be photographed. They included all four turtles, Splinter, Shredder, a few unnamed characters, a Turtle Van, Turtle Lair, and another play set. LEGO also debuted the upcoming LEGO Juniors line, using mostly the same pieces as regular kits but simplifying the building process for younger audiences who are too old for Duplo but not old enough for complex builds. Ninja Turtles and DC are included in these releases. The LEGO Movie continues to be hugely popular, with more kits coming including the newly announced Metal Beard pirate ship. Mixels are a new character assortment as a partnership between LEGO and Cartoon Network, enabling building of a variety of colorful creatures.
Fans of the new Disney Princess lines can look forward to more to come in the future, though nothing new was announced at the show. Also on the way are more kits from the rest of “The Hobbit” films. It contains motors, sensors, and various parts and pieces used to create virtually any type of robot of your choice. Included with the set is NXT-G: a drag-and-drop graphical programming language written in LabVIEW. With the rise in popularity of the Mindstorms NXT many third party companies like Mindsensors and Dexter Industries were started to create additional sensors and hardware compatible with the set. Additionally, many third party programs such as NXC, NBC, leJOS, and RobotC were created for use with the NXT sets. The set features four models starter models ranging from easy to difficult.
It also has information on how to program the models. The instructions can be found on the programming software included with the set. The instructions are very clear and concise; they thoroughly explain each and every step. Tribot is the easiest model of them all, and known as the "starter model". It is a simple two-wheeled robot, equipped with a claw, touch sensor, light sensor, and ultrasonic sensor used for finding and grabbing small objects. Spike is the second most difficult model. He is a six-legged scorpion that has the ability to scoot around and hit things with its retractable tail. It uses an ultrasonic sensor for object avoidance, and a touch sensor at the tip of the tail so it knows when it hits something. Roboarm T-56 is the second hardest model. It is a three DOF arm, that uses a light sensor and touch sensor to grasp and recognize different objects. Alpha Rex is the most difficult to build robot included in models. It is a two-legged humanoid robot, that uses every sensor and motor included in the set.
