The Children's Movement Center - 17 Pickett District Road / New Milford, CT  06776  860-799-6602Extended Day Option: M-F 8:00 am - 5:45 pm tel: 919.383.6602 x263 or 919.384.908 Enrollment (opens at 6:00 pm on Wednesday February 15) For new students, please create a CampInTouch account. For already-registered, returning students, please visit my account. Our Location: CFS Main Campus Our courses for ages 4-18 generally have 10-14 students with one instructor and sometimes counselors-in-training or interns to assist. We enroll a smaller number in our Early Learner classes and more in some athletic and sports courses. The workshops typically run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with Extended Day options available (please see below). We have Extended Day for students needing care before and/or after workshops, overseen by adult leaders with college and high school-age assistants (generally a 1:8 ratio of staffers to students). Extended Day takes place in air-conditioned buildings.

We do not serve peanuts, but children with food allergies should pack their own snacks. Planned activities are organized daily, and students have places for free time and reading. The fee for Extended Day is a separate charge. You may add Extended Day with at least one week notice. A $5 late fee is assessed for every five (5) minutes beyond the registered Extended Day period. Thank you for picking up on time--it's very helpful to our staff. Daily emergency Extended Day fee is $10 per hour. There are four plans from which to choose: 8:00 am Drop Off 4:00 pm Pick Up 5:45 pm Pick Up 8:00 am - 5:45 pm We appreciate the financial investment and other choices made by families to enroll a child in CFS Summer Programs. Our courses generally run from $270 $295 per week. From that amount, we cover course-specific and program-wide expenses; provide tuition assistance for students who wouldn't otherwise be able to participate; compensate our staff (and are intentional about wanting to increase what we're able to do for them over the next three years);

and return to the School resources that support teaching and learning during the academic year. We also want to increase our tuition assistance and nonprofit partnerships over the next few years. To that end, we invite you to consider during the enrollment process if you might make a tax-deductible contribution to help enable another child to enjoy a fun summer experience on our 126 acres. Tax ID Number: 56-0812560 If a class is full, we'll put your child's name on a wait list, or you can choose an alternate class. If an opening occurs and your child is next on the list, we'll contact you to see if you're still interested. Online registration will automatically put you on a wait list. Remember that as families' plans change, so does our website, so please check back with us. We'll keep our website up-to-date on openings. If you're late picking up your child after a workshop (and not enrolled in Extended Day), your child will be taken to the Extended Day site and signed in.

You will be charged $10 per hour. Pick-up time is 3:00 pm -- just drive in, students will be waiting with their group and teacher. Thanks for being on time! If you're late picking up from Extended Day after 4:00 or 5:45 pm (depending on your plan), there is a $5 late fee per five minutes. EMERGENCY HOURLY CARE (late to pick up, late at doctor's office, running late, have to stay at work late, etc.) is $10 per hour. The Cafe is open at 10:30 am for morning snacks and again at lunch. Prices generally range from $.25 to $2.00 per item. We regret we cannot accommodate special diets, so if your child has food allergies or particular dietary needs and is in Extended Day, thank you for providing snacks. Frequently asked questions are below! FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions): Where is Carolina Friends School located? Where and when do CFS Summer Programs take place? What ages are served by CFS Summer Programs? What about options for younger students?

What about options for older students? How do I enroll my student? What if my child doesn't like the course? Is financial aid available? We're happy to be able to offer tuition assistance so that additional children may enjoy summertime at CFS. The amount is limited, so we cannot guarantee support. Please complete the Tuition Assistance Request (which can be emailed or mailed to the Extended Learning Office). We want to work with you to see what might be possible. Over time, we hope to increase our tuition assistance resources and to forge more partnerships with local, youth-serving nonprofits. We invite families during the online course enrollment process to consider if they might make a tax-deductible contribution to CFS to help provide a Summer Programs opportunity for another student. Do you accept credit cards for payment? Will we receive a refund if my child is ill? Is there food at CFS for my child to purchase? What should my student bring to CFS Summer Programs?
