Lego Sports is a Lego theme that started in 2000. The theme is primary based on sports, hence the title. The Nba Collectors series are from the NBA 2002-2003 season. At the New York City College of Technology, CUNY (City Tech), I am the ENG 2575, Technical Writing Coordinator for the the Professional and Technical Writing Program of the Department of English. The College Catalog describes this course as, “Students communicate technical and scientific information to a variety of audiences through written and oral presentations, using electronic media such as the Internet, Power Point and graphics programs. Students also analyze readings in science and technology, study technical writing models and practice collaborative research and presentation.” Below, you can find my sample documents for instructors of ENG 2575. Also, I am including syllabi and assignments that I developed while teaching Technical Communication, LMC 3403 at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which is closely aligned City Tech’s ENG 2575 in terms of student learning outcomes.

Of note, the “Reader-Centered and Process-Driven Foundations” assignment covers a lot of cognitive, rhetorical, and multimodal topics by bringing together haptics (LEGO), audience, and design into an early project. Plus, it’s a lot of fun for the students and instructor. It includes vintage computing, LEGO, and other wonderful things, too.

Lambright St. The Egypt Lake Partnership Library has technology common to all locations. The Egypt Lake Partnership Library is a collaboration between the Tampa- Hillsborough County Public Library System and the School District of Hillsborough County.

In addition to the materials purchased by the school, there are books, DVDs, audio books, music CDs and magazines available for checkout. This branch has a large collection of Spanish language and bilingual English/Spanish materials and computer classes are available in both Spanish and English. Although the public library is not available during school hours, the library is open to the public after school, evenings, and on Saturdays. Friends of the Library Programming for this branch is supported by the Friends of the Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library. The Egypt Lake Partnership Library began in the summer of 1997. With help from a Linking Libraries and Communities grant, public library staff worked at the school media center during the summer months and offered programs to encourage the love of reading in children. This same programming was repeated in the summers of 1998 and 1999. In the fall of 1999, the public library began to staff the school media center after school hours and year round, expanding the traditional summer programming.
