You may notice a mysterious “Collect & Win” logo on the box, packets, as well as on the inserts. When you follow the link, it’ll direct you to enter the code that is included with every minifigure. This code allows you to unlock the corresponding character in the LEGO Minifigures Online game as well as a chance for free Diamonds, 3 days of membership, be able to loot Super Chests, and gain Stars faster when you enter it in-game but that’s not all. Keep in mind that you won’t be getting all the things listed. I entered the codes for all my minifigures and I got Diamonds only once or twice. All of the other ones were the 3 day memberships. On the next page, you can try your luck to win some random LEGO sets.
All you need to do is to enter your email that LEGO can use to contact you if you are chosen as a winner. Each code you enter gives you more chances to win so it’s sort of an incentive to buy more minifigures. Odds of actually winning is probably small to none but it doesn’t hurt to try. The Google Science Fair is open to students ages 13-18 worldwide. All projects are submitted entirely online, so all students need to participate is a curious mind and an Internet connection. The 2016 Google Science Fair will be open soon. New Awards: In addition to the annual Grand Prize Winner, there are 7 new awards with the science fair partners. The LEGO Education Builder Award The LEGO Education Builder Award honors a student who uses an innovative, hands-on approach to solve some of the greatest engineering challenges.
The winner, along with a parent or guardian, will travel to The LEGO Group headquarters in Billund, Denmark, where the student will meet with LEGO Education employees and designers. The student will tour the LEGO Manufacturing facilities, LEGO Idea House and receive tickets to LEGOLAND Denmark. They will also receive a custom LEGO brick build designed by one of the LEGO Education designers in Billund, Denmark. The student will also receive a scholarship to further their education as well as have access to work with a LEGO Education executive for one year as a mentor to learn how to launch a business and the art of entrepreneurship. Regional finalists and Community Impact Award winners announced World Robot Olympiad (WRO) is a global robotics competition offering a variety of categories to inspire collaborative creativity, strengthen math and science knowledge, promote teamwork, develop presentation skills, and increase enthusiasm for global robotics technology. Each participating country holds a national competition, and winners are invited to the World Olympiad.
These students have an amazing opportunity to meet other competitors from over 55 different countries and potentially bring home the world title! A challenge-based competition in which students program a fully-autonomous robot to complete a series of tasks. Three age groups available: 12 years and under A project-based competition where students create their own intelligent robotics solutions relating to the current theme. WRO Football: an action-packed soccer competition for ages 16-19 in which teams construct and program robots that compete head-to-head WRO University Regular: a challenge-based competition with an emphasis on advanced engineering and programming skills for ages 17-25 All WRO teams are limited to 2-3 members and a coach.
