The Series 13 LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71008) have been officially released for a day now and many of you have gotten a couple of them, probably all of them. You may notice a mysterious “Collect & Win” logo on the box, packets, as well as on the inserts. When you follow the link, it’ll direct you to enter the code that is included with every minifigure. This code allows you to unlock the corresponding character in the LEGO Minifigures Online game as well as a chance for free Diamonds, 3 days of membership, be able to loot Super Chests, and gain Stars faster when you enter it in-game but that’s not all. Keep in mind that you won’t be getting all the things listed. I entered the codes for all my minifigures and I got Diamonds only once or twice. All of the other ones were the 3 day memberships. On the next page, you can try your luck to win some random LEGO sets. All you need to do is to enter your email that LEGO can use to contact you if you are chosen as a winner.

Each code you enter gives you more chances to win so it’s sort of an incentive to buy more minifigures. Odds of actually winning is probably small to none but it doesn’t hurt to try.Series 12 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures are now available at most LEGO retailers. However before we get into crushing bags to figure out which minifig is hiding inside, I would like to mention a couple of things; first of all the paper insert for this series contains a code that is different for each minifigure. This is because it is a code to unlock that particular minifig in the LEGO Minifigure Online Game. The game is free to play, so you might want to check it out at the LEGO Collectible Minifigures website. Secondly, although I don’t often say you should go and buy the Collectible Minifigs at any particular place, for this series I would strongly suggest Target. Most other retailers like Toys’R’Us, Wal-Mart, Walgreens and even LEGO’s own shops, are selling them for about $4 each, whereas at Target you can find them at $3.

This might change, so the sooner you can get them the better. To help you find them the DPCI number is #204-00-0261. Give this number to a Target employee and they can help look it up in the store’s inventory. Now, on to the feeling guide. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Battle Goddess: Let’s get straight to the point. You want to find her spear. It is unique and easy to feel for. All of her other accessories can be mistaken for something else that belongs to another minifigure within the series. So just try to locate her spear and you are good to go. The are four Battle Goddesses in a full display-box. This should be a very popular minifigure with LEGO fans. Her torso, shield and helmet are all so unique. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Dino Tracker: You’ll probably run across the syringe (needle) first. However, this can be mixed up with the Space Miner’s drill (unicorn horn). So even though the flatness of the Dino Tracker’s bow may make it hard to pin it down, it is what you will want to search for. A

nother method is to find her hair-piece. The ponytail is rather large, and kind of feels like a LEGO Technic axle. Keep in mind that it is an identical piece to the Genie Girl’s hair, so once you locate it, see if the minifigure has normal legs that can move independently of one another. If they can, you found the Dino Tracker. There are four Dino Trackers in a full display-box. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Fairytale Princess: Start out by looking for her dress slope. Next you can either find the frog (which can feel like the Wizard’s diamond) or for her cone shaped hat. Once you find it, see if there is an odd tail-piece at the base of the hat – this will be her hair. She has a lot of similar pieces to the Wizard in this series, so you really have to be thorough and careful when searching for her. Make sure the package doesn’t contain a bar or a telescope, as those belong to the Wizard. There are three Princesses in a full display-box. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Genie Girl: This minifig may be easier to find by starting with the hair. J

ust like the Dino Tracker, her ponytail feels like a stiff bar attached to some excess piece at the end (her hair). Once you find that, search for the legs. She does not have legs that separate. You can also look for the lamp, but I would only recommend this if you have really sensitive fingers, since the lamp may feel like the Piggy Guy’s apple or the Space Miner’s gun. There are three Genie Girls in a full display-box. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Hun Warrior: This guy was very rare in the box I looked through, but you can start out by finding his round shield. If you can feel the stud on it you’re good. However, since the Battle Goddess also has a round shield, you may need to feel for the sword. It’s a traditional flat sword that has a “T” shaped cross-guard. There are three Hun Warriors in a full display-box, so this is one of the rarer minifigs to find, especially since it is an army-builder and most people would like multiplies. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Jester: Try to find both 1×2 tiles. I

f you can only find one, you’ll need to verify the minifigure’s identity by finding the hat. It’s a fairly unique hat with a lot of dimension to it. Just make sure it is not the very round hair-piece of the Video Game Guy. There are three Jesters in a full display-box, so this is another one of the rarer minifigures, although not an army-builder, so you should be able to find one if he has your lucky cards. ➡ The floaty feels like a small boat and the binoculars are easy to pick out. Between the two, I found the binoculars simpler to recognize with your fingers, but either will work well. There are three Life Guards in a full display-box. Although not an army-builder, the bare torso piece is usually popular with LEGO fans. Also the binoculars are in a brand new color which may make this minifig quite desirable. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Piggy Guy: The head-piece has a lot of texture to it. Unfortunately it can feel like just another massive helmet or hair. So this leaves the apple. I

t is not an ideal piece to feel for since it is very round and tends to slip away easily, and it can also be mistaken for a minifigure head. So if you find something that feels like a big helmet see if you can locate two pieces that feel like minifigure heads. With a bit of practice, you can confirm that there is a leaf and stem on the apple. Just expect to spend a bit more time with this one. There are four Piggy Guys in a full display-box. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Pizza Delivery Man: If you locate a 2×2 tile or a 2×2 round tile, then you’ve found this guy. It’s one of the easiest minifigures to find in the series. There are four Pizza Delivery Men in a full display-box. Although that’s one of the higher numbers, this guy is going to be very popular because of the new pizza piece as well as the pizza box. A very nice minifig with great accessories. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Prospector: The beard can feel quite strange to your fingers and kind of hard to identify. I

n the meantime the hat feels a bit like that of the Swashbuckler’s. So this leaves the pick-axe, which is rather large and hard to miss. Just make sure it feels like a big “T” and not a “Y” shape, which would be the Rock Star’s guitar. There are three Prospector minifigures in a full display-box. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Rock Star: This guy has a lot of hair, but it’s the guitar you want to search for to positively identify him. The guitar feels like a bar with two hard feathers sticking out at one end. The overall shape is that of the letter “Y”. There are four Rock Stars in a full display box, so he should be fairly easy to find. Both the guitar and the hairpiece will likely be very popular. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Space Miner: This minifig has a lot of accessories. You may run across his armor since it is so bulky, but that may be hard to make out. So either look for his gun that feels like a blow-dryer or the visor for his helmet. The visor is standard and feels like a big fingernail clipping. T

here are five Space Miners in a full display-box, so this is going to be one of the minifigs you will likely run accross most often. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Spooky Girl: Her hair is so rubbery that it alone will give her away. It’s the only piece in the entire series that really squishes and sticks to the bag. If you find it, try confirming it by looking for the teddy bear. Once you pinch one of his arms it becomes easier to make out the rest of the bear. There are three Spooky Girls in a full display-box, so this is one of the rarer minifigures. A very interesting character indeed. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Swashbuckler: The hat is not a good piece to look for because it is so similar to the Prospector’s, and the feather doesn’t work either because of the decoration on the Battle Goddess’s helmet. So you will need to find that super thin sword. It feels like a really thin antenna with a round base. It shouldn’t feel like anything else in the series, but it can easily be overlooked. T

here are five Swashbuckler minifigures in a full display-box, so you should be able to find him easily. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Video Game Guy: You will most likely find the 1×2 tile first. From there it is all about making sure it’s not the Jester. The Video Game Guy has a generally round hair piece that feels nothing like the Jester hat. There are quite a few of this minifigure in a full box of 60, so you will have plenty of practice. There are five Video Game Guys in a full display-box, so this should be another minifig that is easy to find. His hair-piece with the headphones and two-toned arms should be popular with LEGO customizers. ➡ LEGO Minifigures Series 12 Wizard: Just like with the Fairytale Princess, start out with looking for the dress slope. It becomes real easy from there just by finding either a bar or telescope. Both of these pieces can drop into the corners of the bag which makes them simple to find. If you can’t find them you might have the Princess on your hands. T
