All of our chassis are made from 2.5 mm British Steel and come Galvanized as standard. Once galvanized our chassis are taken back into the workshop and rectified. All holes are re-drilled and re-tapped before standard suspension bushes are fitted before delivery. The first is what we call a Production Chassis which is a direct replacement for your current chassis but does not have the redundant brackets and utilises later type brackets and cross members which are easier and cheaper to manufacture which, to the casual observer will look like the original chassis. These chassis are ideal for the customer who wants to re-build rather than restore their car. The second is the  which we manufacture as per the original with 4 sided cross members and replica seems to emulate the pressed originals. This also includes original type brackets and we have now developed a rear cross member which is an exact replica of the original Land Rover type. This chassis is aimed at the Series 2 Enthusiast who wants to restore his or her car as close to the original as possible.

We will endeavour to copy any peculiarities which may occur on your car if you let us know what they are. These chassis are more expensive than the production chassis due to the extra work involved in manufacture, but to the enthusiast who wants to restore, it must be worth the cost. We offer a range of modifications and extras for the Series II. Click Here to take a look. The Production Chassis is a direct replacement for your current chassis. It doesn't have the secondary battery shelf brackets and utilises production type cross members and brackets, but to the casual observer will look the part and you will not have to source any extra parts to fit your chassis. All of our chassis are made from 2.5 mm British Steel and come Galvanized as standard. On the production chassis we use the later type Series III hand brake lever bracket. This is a more efficient design and allows easier access to the fittings. This image shows the front brake pipe brackets and bump stop stiffeners, but without the secondary battery shelf brackets.

If you require the secondary battery shelf, please take a look at our Replica Chassis section. This image shows the Series II type number 3 cross member gussets. If you intend using a series III full syncro gear box we can replace these gussets with the series III type  to allow for the wider Series III type gear box. Please note you will need to specify this as an option when pricing up your chassis on our price list page. This Image shows the Series II check strap mounting plates which are as per the original. Once galvanized these holes are re-drilled and re-tapped so you don't have to!!! This image shows the front brake pipe brackets with the secondary battery shelf mounts as per the original chassis. for the Land Rover connoisseur this is the most accurate replacement chassis available. This image shows the fake seem on the underside of the number 5 cross member. although not required we ensure attention to detail as we emulate this seem to maintain the authentic look and character of original chassis in our replica.

This image shows the rear cross member which we manufacture exactly as per the original. A painstaking task but an essential part of our replica chassis as they are highly visible once your restoration is complete. This image shows the original style hand brake bracket. This item is an exact copy of the original which although never seen on the finished vehicle, shows our commitment to an authentic replica of a classic design. The image also shows such attention to detail as the type and style of weld used by the Land Rover fabricators on the original chassis. with all vertical seems having two thirds weld one third missed. All our chassis come in a range of options. these are explained below and available to choose under our prices section for a more accurate quote. Our chassis can be manufactured right hand drive as standard, left hand drive for our European and American customers or Uni-frame if you live in the English Channel, North Sea or the Atlantic Ocean.

Make sure you specify this option on our price list page. The bolt up gear box cross member we have borrowed from the Military. It allows you to remove the gear box from under the car rather than removing the doors, floors, transmission tunnel cover, seat box and then lifting the gear box through the doorway. This enables the fitting of a steering damper which is the shock absorber which mounts between the steering arm and the chassis rail and damps the shock felt through the steering wheel when tackling the rough. On the SWB 88" chassis you have the option of fitting a second fuel tank under the left hand seat as per the Air-Portable. The LWB 109" chassis have a seat tank as standard on the series II. When the 2a was manufactured the fuel tank was moved to the rear of the vehicle. We can therefore offer the option of running 1,2 or 3 fuel tanks depending on your requirements. Make sure you specify this option on our price list page.Lego's first female minifigure scientist is breaking through the glass ceiling, one Erlenmeyer flask at a time.

Professor C. Bodin, Lego's first female scientist, took the limelight this weekend as Lego introduced its Minifigure Series 11 to the world. Professor C. Bodin comes equipped with an impressive resume, winning the "coveted Nobrick Prize for her discovery of the theoretical System/DUPLO® Interface," according to her bio. This Scientist's specialties include "how to connect bricks of different sizes and shapes" or mixing two colors in one element. Not far from reality, most Lego STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) minifigs are male. (There is a female astronaut.) The unveiling of Professor C. Bodin, also known as the Scientist, addresses and confronts the lack of women in the hard sciences. Professor C. Bodin's introduction in the math and science series is a breakthrough, bridging the gender gap in Lego Minifigs and fighting the stereotype in real life. According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, research shows that strongly gender-typed toys "might encourage attributes that aren't ones you actually want to foster."

Through Professor Judith Elaine Blakemore's research, a professor of psychology at Indiana University-Purdue University, it has been found that girls' toys are most often "associated with physical attractiveness, nurturing and domestic skills," which may mean that for girls, it will emphasize the importance of cosmetics and physical appearance, with the most important message being to look pretty. But the introduction of the Scientist is breaking through gender barriers, one mini brick figure at a time. "Anything that gives girls a sense of belonging" is positive, Janice Earle, a senior program director in the Research and Evaluation on Education at the National Science Foundation, told ABC News. "Having something that you can relate to, because you see that they are like you, is not insignificant," she told ABC News, and that will produce a positive impact on girls and the general public's perception of females in the fields of science, technology and engineering. It's that feeling of 'Gee, if someone like me is there doing that work,' then 'I can too.'"
