The LEGO Group has now announced its partnership with the three automobile manufacturers Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche resulting in a new, high-speed product line for building the most favourite cars from LEGO bricks: the LEGO Speed Champions. An adrenaline kick and the thrill of speed are included. Seven different LEGO sets will be available from spring 2015, ensuring lots of racing action and squealing tyres in the children’s room. A large red Ferrari truck drives up – together with the Ferrari F14 T Racing car. What’s more, a McLaren Mercedes pit stop set will also be available, featuring the McLaren Mercedes MP4-29 as well as the home stretch with lights function and two Porsche cars – the 911 RSR and 911 GT3 R Hybrid.

Also four sets of stand-alone vehicles wait to hit the track. Whether it is a racing car or road car – the new brick built car models will get the hearts of five- to eleven-year old as well as grown up engine fans beating faster. In addition to typical LEGO building fun, the LEGO Speed Champions series of vehicles is particularly amazing thanks to its many authentic details: the LEGO minifigures are wearing racing car overalls, there is a winner’s cup, flags and detailed tools – inspired by their big role models Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche whether you are a passionate builder or a keen car fan, there is an exciting offer. Now just one question remains: Who will be the Speed Champion in 2015?Press contactLEGO GmbH                                        Pressestelle                                          Katharina Redmonds                            Tel.: +49 89 4534 6316                                   rabach kommunikationProduct PR GermanyCaroline Lambert/Tomma RabachTel.: +49 40 413 463 1-12LEGO@rabach-kommunikation.deAbout The LEGO GroupThe LEGO Group is a privately held, family-owned company based in Billund, Denmark.

It's rare that Lego puts these out so when they do come along, it is always something special. Technic master Sariel got his hands on an advance copy of the 1219 piece 24 Hours Race Car (42039). In this rather lengthy video, he builds and goes over the set. You're reading Leg Godt, the blog with the latest Lego news and the best sets in the web. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook.

The days of Ferrari having an exclusive hold on branded LEGO cars are officially over. Next year, you'll be able to buy a minifig-scale McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and LaFerrari. (Yes, we know about the Mini and VW stuff, but Maranello has been dominant.) We will take one of each, thank you.These leaked images come courtesy of YouTube user just2good, so no prices yet, but the kits looks small enough that they should come in around 20 bucks. Again, we don't care. McLaren P1 (75909)Is that a snowboard acting as the P1's wing? Yes, yes it is. LaFerrari (75899)Some authentic Italian stubble on the LaFerrari test driver. And each car comes with a wrench, because, uh, why not? READ MORE: LEGO Ferraris hit Singapore for F1 weekendThere are also a few competition-inspired sets in the 2015 Speed Champions line, too: a sponsor-sticker-tastic 458 Italia GT2 (75908);

a pair of 911 GT cars with podium, mechanics, and LEGO four-way (75912); a full pit-stop setup for the McLaren F1 team (75911); and (yet another) Ferrari F1 transporter (75913). I'm guessing the brick separators included in the F1 sets are in place of wheel guns. We'll forgive the similar look of the hypercars because there's only so much you can do at minifig scale, and come on, minifig-scale hypercars! It's nice to see few—if any—unique parts. The stickers differentiate them pretty well. Pretty sure I'm more geeked about these sets than I was when the actual cars were unveiled. Not sure what that says about me, but at least I can and will own all three of these.READ MORE: LEGO Batman Tumbler comes with a Heath Ledger minifig You Can Buy a Chevy SS at a Huge Discount A Supercharged Nissan 370Z Is Very Fast and Furious Why a Nurburgring Record Set in 1983 Will Never Be Beaten This Is What 20 Years of Neglect Does to a Jaguar E-Type The 500-Pound Backpack Everyone Seems to Want to Carry
