LEGO builder Jason Corlett has brought us yet another amazing creation. This time around, he’s taking on Pacific Rim‘s Striker Eureka Jaeger. He’s posted a series of pictures of the build on his Flickr page and they’re pretty epic. The detail here is incredible, though it’s hardly a surprise. page (a site for sharing your own LEGO creations) and you’ll see some beautiful work. Of himself, Corlett said on the page that he loves science fiction, especially Star Wars and that he’s been building with LEGOs since he was three years old. Here’s what he had to say about his creation: “It took me two years to muster the courage to build it, but here he finally is! Striker Eureka is a Mark-5 jaeger built in Australia and is the first and only Mark-5 jaeger ever built. It’s piloted by the father-Son team, Chuck and Herc Hansen. It’s features include two twin-blade Sting-Blades, Six Anti-Kaiju Missile Launchers, and T-16 Angel Wings. Now it’s time for some specs!

He stands at 2′ 8″ tall and 18” wide from shoulder to shoulder. It took roughly 86 hours to build and uses no less than 5000 pieces. Just like Cherno Alpha, Striker is Micro-Fig scale. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone that followed along during the W.I.P. stages. All of your encouragment and help made this project much more fun! I hope you all follow along next year when I take on Crimson Typhoon!” He also posted on Moc with some info about another one of the Pacific Rim builds he did (mentioned above). “I kind of feel like a disgrace to the Geek name because I never saw it in theaters. I know, Shocking isn’t it? Like many fans of the film, I instantly fell in love with the Russian Jaeger, Cherno Alpha. It’s just 2,412 Tons of pure badassery! So of coarse [sic] I had to build one. This MOC is in Microfig scale and stands in at 2′ 11″ tall. It took roughly 70 hours to build. I didn’t keep track of the part count, but if I were to wager a guess, i’d [sic] say it contains no-less than 5000 pieces.”

Corlett has a bunch of other LEGO build albums on his Flickr page as well, so click here to check them out. We’d love to hear what you think. Tweet me/us @JennaBusch/@Nerdist and let us know if the first question that went through your mind involved how many times he’s stepped on a LEGO. I did it this morning. HT: Flickr via KotakuAs often as we feature LEGO mecha here on The Brothers Brick (and make excuses for doing so), I’d really love to see more of the massive, kaiju-hunting Jaegers from Pacific Rim. A couple years ago, Jason Corlett built a monstrous LEGO Cherno Alpha at micro-fig scale (the tiny one-piece figures that come in LEGO games and sets like the Shield Helicarrier), and he’s just followed that up with the Australian Jaeger Striker Eureka. Striker Eureka stands 2 feet 8 inches tall (81 cm) and 18 inches wide (46 cm), and is built from more than 5,000 LEGO pieces. Jason says he spent 86 hours on the build. Jason’s Jaeger has a number of features, including anti-kaiju missiles in its chest.

The arms can be mounted with Sting-Blades and the back features giant engines. And while waiting for the sequel, one fan decided to spend his time building a Jaeger of his own, in LEGO form. No, it’s not big enough to take down any kaiju, but it’s impressive nonetheless.Check out the Pacific Rim LEGO creation after the jump. Here’s some images of the LEGO Jaeger created by master builder Jason Corlett (via Kotaku): It took Jason about 86 hours to complete this custom LEGO version of the Striker Eureka Jaeger, made with over 5,000 pieces, and measuring 2 feet tall. Even though that’s a massive set, it’s not quite big enough to match the scale of the LEGO minifigures, with the microfigures seen on top of the manned robot’s head instead of the regular sized figures. We’re not sure if the set allows for any maneuverability of the arms and legs, but you can’t deny that it looks cool as hell. Now if we could just get a custom kaiju LEGO set to go with it, and maybe a set for the Gypsy Danger hero Jaeger, then we would be happy. Actually, we’ll be happy when LEGO decides to make official Pacific Rim LEGO sets.
