I hope you all had a nice Christmas…mine was (and still is) filled with Lego, my son got rather a lot of it. Yes, I got some too, but mostly I was building my son’s Ninjago sets. Ninjago, as you can imagine, is all about Lego Ninjas and all that stuff. Lego is so complicated these days, full of tiny little pieces fitting together in intricate and specific fashions. You almost have to be a molecular physicist to build the sets these days. This particular beauty is the Samurai Mech, a large robot type thing piloted by a little Samurai called Nya, or something. It took ages to build, hours. While building I had no idea what piece I was constructing but it all comes together nicely. My son opened this one on Christmas Eve, and I spent much time after he went to bed building it, while we watched Love Actually (a movie we last saw at the cinema in London a decade ago). Elle s'entraîne en parallèle à Kai, Cole, Jay et Zane et prend l'identité du Samurai X. Plus tard, elle apprend qu'elle est la descendante de la maîtresse de l'eau et devient à son tour la maîtresse de l'eau. Ne vous y trompez pas, cette fille n'est pas une demoiselle en détresse. Elle l'a prouvé lorsqu'elle et Flamme, le dragon de feu, ont sauvé Kai de Lord Garmadon. Et elle ne recule devant rien. Nya en a assez de voir que les ninjas pensent que les garçons sont les meilleurs et elle est déterminée à montrer à tout le monde qu'elle peut faire tout ce qu'ils font...en mieux.
Elle s'entraîne pour battre les records de son frère, et Sensei Wu lui rappelle constamment que si elle est patiente, son heure viendra. Fort, silencieux, super rapide Comme un fantôme géant avec une exo-armure, le mystérieux samouraï arrive d'on ne sait où et devance toujours les ninja. Est-il un ami ? Ou un ennemi ? Malgré leurs efforts désespérés, les ninjas ne parviennent pas à découvrir la véritable identité de ce rebelle masqué, dont la seule carte de visite est un boomerang marqué d'un "S". Une chose est claire, il déteste les serpents, mais va-t-il se retourner contre les ninjas pour se sauver ou s'unir avec eux pour sauver Ninjago ? Seul le temps le dira... Nya est la sœur de Kai et a prouvé ses qualités d'héroïne a de nombreuses reprises. Lors de la formation de l'équipe ninja, elle a dû mal à se faire accepter dans les missions actives. Elle n'a jamais reçu la formation en Spinjitzu, mais souhaitait quand même participer aux aventures.
En prenant l'identité secrète de Samouraï X, elle a pu montrer qu'elle était tout aussi capable que Kai et les autres membres de la bande. Elle est désormais un membre à part entière de l'équipe, et peut prendre la tête du groupe en cas de crise. Nya a toujours voulu démontrer ses capacités au combat, et elle aura bientôt l'occasion de le faire. La première version du déguisement Samouraï X de Nya était bleue, sa couleur favorite. Nya détient le record à « Fist to Face 2 », mais elle le tient secret pour ne pas faire de la peine à son frère. Le bracelet que porte Nya appartenait à sa mère. Lorsque Nya avait deux ans, elle dormait avec un dragon en peluche baptisé Étincelle. La mère de Jay, Edna, garde une photo de Nya et de Jay dans son portefeuille. Jay la cherche encore, et se dit qu'il doit l'avoir perdue quelque part ! Nya reproche souvent à son frère qu'il doit être plus patient. Un jour, elle est enlevée par l'armée squelette.
