When you're buying your lunch today, you might want to take a moment and spend a little more. Gizmodo's Lunch Time Deals posts point out any particularly good bargains for Aussie bargain hunters around the 'net. Today EB Games are having a "Mad Monday" sale, and it is actually not terrible. There's a Steam controller going for $63, a Steam link for $36, a decent PS4 Pro bundle for $599 and a three-games-plus-Xbox One S bundle for $349. The Steam controller, with its dual touchpads and internal gyroscopes, is even able to be used outside of regular gaming. At $63, it's not a bad investment. The Steam Link is going for $36, and if you pick one up you'll be able to mirror games from your desk-bound gaming PC onto a big-screen TV in another room over Wi-Fi or a wired connection. There's also a 1TB PS4 Pro bundle with Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, Dishonored 2, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special edition and Fallout 4 going for $599. What makes it Pro? Basically the new system from Sony features higher powered guts than the original PS4, and game designers can take advantage of those guts just as they would on a PC with a high-end video card.

You can check out our review here. Lastly is the 500GB Xbox One S bundle, with FIFA 17 with Rare Player Pack game download, Battlefield 1 game download The LEGO Movie 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and a choice of Forza Motorsport 6, Rare Replay, Gears of War Collection or Tomb Raider as a full game download for $349. When we reviewed the console, it was pointed out that it is so future-proof most current TVs won't be able to take advantage of its best features yet. You can read more about it here. So there you go. There's probably a few more deals on the site as well to catch your eye, but in the lead-up to Christmas, these aren't too bad.GTA 5 is out now on PC and is already proving popular if Steam figures are anything to go by.Outside of a slick new video editor and the potential for all kinds of mods, one of the PC version's main selling points is 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second.GTA 5 is out now on PC: What are people doing with the video editor? While Rockstar hasn't made it clear exactly what you'll need for 4K, a number of websites and publications have investigated the kind of hardware required and the money you'll need to spend.

Ars Technica put lots of different graphics cards through their paces, and said that if you want 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second, a dual-GPU is most definitely required."With the game running at 'ultra' or 'very high' in its standard graphics settings, and with only FXAA enabled, a dual-GTX 980 setup (that's nearly $1200 in hardware) managed a respectable 56fps average, falling just short of the magical 60fps mark," the report reads."Switching to a single 4GB GTX 980 drops the performance almost in half, with a 30fps average. AMD's now-aging R9 290X fell short of the 980, averaging 28fps, but dropping to 19fps in an average of the lowest 1% of results."The website says that if you want 4K resolution with a single GPU, then Nvidia's Titan X is one of the better graphics cards to use, although it averages 40 frames-per-second, but never drops below 30 frames-per-second."Whether you'd regard that as playable depends on your own personal preference, but remember that the game only ever ran at that frame rate on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3," the report adds.

Eurogamer, meanwhile, discusses what it would take to run the game at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second."The results on even budget set-ups still outstrip those on PS4 and Xbox One," the report reads."The GTX 750 Ti paired with the i3-3410 is a real success, for example - a combo that forms part of a circa-£300 PC, where 1080p60 at high settings is very doable."The site points out that if users already have a quad-core i7 machine, then the AMD R9 290 offers the "best performance per pound"."At £100 less than Nvidia's GTX 780 Ti, it makes sense to go with AMD in this bracket given the relatively small difference in frame-rate," the report continues."It must be stressed that the AMD path is only viable if other, top-end components are in place, in particular a strong CPU."But whichever way you turn, the two-pronged attack of 60fps gameplay and superior draw distances on PC makes the 18-month wait worth it."Trending>>MWC 2017: what we're most excited to see >>Mass Effect: Andromeda hands-on review
