Interestingly, CBG comes with a Squishee — which may also be a hint that there’s a Kwik-E-Mart set coming. She may have passed away on the show, but Edna Krabappel has been immortalized as a minifig. She comes with a cup, which is obviously for coffee — Lego certainly wouldn’t want her drinking with her students. Just like they wouldn’t want the new Patty and Selma figs smoking; they’ve tactfully been given a DMV eye chart and a massive purse to tote around. There’s also a minifig Martin Prince for your series 1 Nelson to wedgie, and Milhouse at his absolute coolest: in costume for his gig as Fallout Boy in the Radioactive Man movie. Lego has also made a Waylon Smithers to toady up to Mr. Burns, and a Dr. Hibbert to check Homer’s cholesterol and gravy levels. Groundskeeper Willie’s part of the new batch too, but for some reason instead of a shovel or hoe he comes with a plunger, even though I distinctly remember him clearing at least one clogged toilet with his bare Scottish hand.
The Simpson family is back for round two, of course. Homer, Marge, and Lisa are dressed up in their Sunday best. Bart, on the other hand, is ready for slingshot-fueled shenanigans as Bartman. Maggie’s still slinking around in her creeper, and looking crazily out-of-scale, especially next to the plastic Santa’s Little Helper she comes with. The blind packs go on sale May 1, Simpsons fans. Just make sure you don’t smear them with nacho fingers. Lo and behold, Stephen Colbert obliges with Full House: Nights, the True Detective-style adventures of Danny Tanner and Uncles Joey and Jesse, taking on San Francisco crime. Colbert himself debut the segment on last night’s Late Show, featuring Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier all reprising their roles, alongside Stephen Colbert as a criminal under interrogation. The actual sketch itself leans a bit more toward The Wire or Law & Order, but if you ever wanted Full House’s upbeat credits in the style of True Detective, everything’s coming up Milhouse for you. Oh, and someone dies. In the meantime, all episodes of Netflix’s Fuller House are available to stream, sans any Olsen twins, a point even Colbert’s parody can’t resist taking a shot at.
