Then activate his special Hacking, Sonar Smash, Master Build, Target and Technology abilities to unravel puzzles and defeat enemies. Use Benny's Spaceship for even more out-of-this-world fun, and rebuild it into a Lasercraft and The Annihilator for upgraded in-game powers!As we all know by now, there will be 17 total sets dedicated to The LEGO Movie, 13 of which will be available on January 1st and the other 4 sets will be available in the summer wave. Canticleer blues on Eurobricks and PhoncipleBone on NeoGAF has provided images from various LEGO Movie books, most likely from The Essential Guide, that may hint to what these summer sets will be. First is Benny’s Spaceship which has a very similar look as the Classic Space sets.

From the looks of it, there will also be a blue Astro Kitty riding along the ship as well. Next up is Emmet’s Construction Mech that rolls on treads. Finally is a Police Dropship that hovers on rotating rocket boosters and if you look closely at the holding cell, could that who we think it is, Mr. Johnny Thunder himself? In the staff picture, you can somewhat see all the new sets as well as Metalbeard’s Ship on the left side. Check out the images below and descriptions of the sets. These are not confirmed sets yet but they look official and pretty cool nonetheless. Update: Members on Eurobricks have been speculating on what minifigures are included in the sets and the following is what we could be getting: Benny’s Spaceship: Benny, Wildstyle, Astro Kitty and maybe some Robo SWATs. Emmet’s Construction Mech: Emmet, Robo-skeleton, and maybe another minifigure. Police Dropship: Batman, Emmet, Johhny Thunder, what looks to be Lloyd, and two Robo SWATs. Metalbeard’s Ship: Metalbeard, Vitrivius, Benny, and some minifigure in green.

Action Girl: Wyldstyle and Princess Uni-kitty at the very end. Adaptation Explanation Extrication: Emmet talking to Lord Business in the finale and convincing him to do a HeelFace Turn is kept in the Junior Novel and Video Game, but the context for whynote  isn't. Interestingly, the video game keeps the Plot Twist from the film, but still . Affectionate Parody: The movie frequently (though not completely) parodies summer blockbuster movies. The fact that Everything's Built with LEGO helps, as even the most spectacular explosions and overloaded action sequences end up becoming sillier as a result. Especially the scene with the real-life kid, which Emmet views as an Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever. Allegory Adventure: The movie notably toys with this trope. The entire plot of the film is presented In-Universe as a metaphor for Finn's playtime in his dad's study, which explains why the ancient "relics" of human artifacts can appear alongside LEGO bricks. However, Emmet, complete with mental voiceover, is able to consciously move himself in this world, albeit with great difficulty.

It's left to the viewer's interpretation whether or not the whole movie took place in Finn's head, or if the world of LEGO is its own universe that Finn and Dad can just manipulate. And the Adventure Continues: "We are fwom the pwanet Duplo, and we are hew to destwoy you!" Arc Words: "See everything" is used repeatedly to refer to the power of the Master Builders to see the potential in the pieces around them. Lord Business's obsession with keeping everything "how it is supposed to be." . "Now it's your turn to be the hero." Finn says that to Emmet during his vision, and Emmet says it to Wyldstyle before his Heroic Sacrifice. The power of the Special is... you're special. Artistic License Chemistry: The mineral spirits The Man Upstairs uses to un-Kragle the Lego universe at the end would almost certainly remove the paint used to give minifigs their faces and clothing details, in the same way Lord Business uses nail polish remover to remove Bad Cop's "Good" face. We can safely assume that, being a Lego connoisseur, he was probably careful with the stuff.

Ascended Meme: In the "Behind the Bricks" featurette, Vitruvius talks about how great it is that he's voiced by Morgan Freeman, noting the famous joke that "that man could read the phone book and make it sound interesting." He then proceeds to do just that.Vitruvius: Five five five, three four nine two. Just listen to that rich molasses.Also Trending: Japanizing Beam Goosh Goosh (NSFW) Rachel Dolezal's Racial Identity 2017 Oscars Best Picture Gaffe What in Tarnation Ryan Gosling Whispering 3DPD Brianna Wu TRAPPIST-1 System Announcement Do you wanna build a spaceship? Don't have an account?Warner Bros. has released a slew of new high-resolution images from directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s upcoming animated film The LEGO Movie.  Created using a mix of stop-motion and CG animation, the pic revolves around Emmett (voiced by Chris Pratt), an ordinary construction worker who finds himself anointed “The Special”, a master builder who will lead a band of rebels to save the world from the evil President Business (Will Ferrell).

These new images give us a look at the colorful cast, from known characters like Superman and Green Lantern to new characters like Good Cop/Bad Cop, Pirate Metalbeard, and Benny the Astronaut.  The film continues to look like a great time, and I can’t wait to catch it in theaters in a few weeks. Hit the jump to take a look at the images, which also include photos of the voice cast during recording sessions.  The film also features the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Charlie Day, and Alison Brie.  The LEGO Movie opens in 2D and 3D on February 7th. Here’s the official synopsis for The LEGO Movie: The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Chris Pratt (“Moneyball”) stars as the voice of Emmet. Will Ferrell (“The Campaign”) stars as the voice of his primary adversary, President Business, an erudite, anal-retentive CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination with micro-managing his own life; while Liam Neeson (“Taken” and “Taken 2,” Oscar nominee for “Schindler’s List”) voices the president’s powerful henchman, known as Bad Cop, who will stop at nothing to catch Emmet. Starring as Emmet’s fellow travelers are Oscar® winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”), as Vitruvius, an old mystic; Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games,” Emmy nominee for “30 Rock”), as tough-as-nails Lucy, who mistakes Emmet for the savior of the world and guides him on his quest; Will Arnett (Emmy nominee, “30 Rock”), as the mysterious Batman, a LEGO minifigure with whom Lucy shares a history; Nick Offerman (NBC’s “Parks and Recreation”) as a craggy, swaggering pirate obsessed with revenge on President Business;
