The LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 is the latest model from LEGO’s MINDSTORMS Robotics line, but getting started with it can be quite a challenge. Taught by the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy’s education staff, this web-based course is designed to support teachers, mentors and coaches as they learn how to program using ROBOTC with LEGO EV3 robots.




In addition, attendees will experience first hand how robotic activities can be used to teach science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Robotics Academy online training includes: – Online access to supplemental lessons from Robotics Academy materials – Online access to the Introduction to Programming LEGO EV3 Curriculum – Technical support for all hardware and software used in the class – 24/7 access to class management system, forums, and message boards (monitored daily) – Opportunities for Continuing Education credits and certificate of completion The following is required is required in order to take this course: LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 Robot Kit – Sold Seperately – EV3 Core Set with Software Pack 5003400 ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS – Sold Separately – Windows® XP, VISTA, 7, 8 or later / Mac® OSX 10.8 or later – Internet Explorer 9.0 or later / Mozilla Firefox® 18.0 or later / Safari 6 or later – Adobe Reader 7 or later (Adobe Reader 9 included for PC)

Purchasing a seat to online classes gives access to one participant only. Resources distributed as part of the class are for use of the participant only.
