After taking the console and PC market by storm with Lego Marvel Super Heroes, TT Games are back again with a port of the 3DS/Vita version of the game, built for Apple devices, entitled, Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Universe in Peril. In this version of the game the player takes control of a plethora of Marvel Superheroes as they attempt to defeat the evil hordes of Dr Doom and Loki to prevent them gaining control of the Cosmic Bricks. Although played from a different viewpoint to the home console version and differentiated from the Vita and 3DS version through the use of in-app purchases, the game’s story covers similar ground. In this video we’ll play through the first area of the game and look in depth at the variety of characters that are available and just how much it costs in both Lego studs and in real money to unlock them. TT Games definitely haven’t scrimped on the playable characters side with notable characters such as Abomination, Captain America, Deadpool, Spider-man, Iron Man, HULK, Juggernaut, The Fantastic Four, Magneto, Nick Fury, Phil Coulson, Silver Surfer, Thor, Venom and Wolverine amongst many many more.

Guardians of the GalaxyWe’ve been wondering about the 2016 Marvel Legends X-Men wave ever since it was announced in mid-2015, but now we need wonder no more! At the New York Toy Fair 2016 Hasbro press event today, Hasbro finally revealed the seven figures making up this summer’s X-Men Legends wave–including Phoenix, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, Cable and more! I’ll be updating with details and thoughts on these figures throughout the afternoon, but I imagine what you guys REALLY want to see is the photos of the lineup. And so, without further ado, the Marvel Legends 2016 X-Men Series will contain: Yes, that’s right–THREE women in a single wave of Marvel Legends! But hey, if ever there were three females that could all be in one wave and sell like gangbusters, it’s Kitty Pryde, Rogue and Jean Grey!

Fans have been asking for a new Jean Grey Phoenix action figure since the Fan Poll in 2009, so I think the time for a new green Phoenix is long overdue at this point. Also, note that Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) comes with a new Lockheed dragon as well as the heavily-demanded classic Onslaught head for the Build-A-Figure that’s already out. Kitty Pryde is gonna be in top demand this summer! Meanwhile, the new Marvel Legends Deadpool that Hasbro revealed on Thursday night is sporting some wacky accessories including a taco and a boxing glove-shooting bazooka! Plus: an unmasked Deadpool interchangeable head! Best Deadpool action figure ever…? Despite being the leader of several high-profile teams over the years (including the Avengers, X-Factor and the X-Men), it’s astounding that there’s only been a singe Marvel Legends Havok figure ever released–and that was as a Toybiz exclusive a decade ago! So yeah–like Phoenix, this Uncanny Avengers Havok 6″ figure is well overdue.

And his new translucent blue effects pieces are, quite frankly, sweet. Hasbro is not revealing the identity of the Build-A-Figure for this wave at this time. I’ve always expected it to be a new Marvel Legends Apocalypse Build-A-Figure (especially with the Apocalypse movie and huge comic book crossover coming up this summer), but that’s strictly my own intuition (which really doesn’t count for much). I think the tooling is there to make a great new Apocalypse BAF, but we shall see in a few months if I’m correct or not. What do you think of this year’s Marvel Legends X-Men series? And who are you hoping the Build-A-Figure will be?Because I basically eat, drink and sleep toys, I’m immersed in collecting culture pretty much 24/7. And as such, sometimes other collectors who I think are being overly demanding can grate on my nerves just a little bit. This was the case when the exclusive Marvel Select Groot figure went up for order online earlier this month and a number of folks complained he was a ripoff because he didn’t come with a free Rocket Raccoon figure.

And so, now that my Groot Marvel Select figure has arrived, let’s take a look and see whether this figure is a good value or not… Last week I discussed the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Gallery Netflix statues and Guardians of the Galaxy statues. But of course, DST isn’t abandoning the line’s roots. And so, also on display at the New York Toy Fair 2017 were new comics-based Marvel Gallery Sam Wilson Captain America (Falcon), Miles Morales Spider-Man and more! (Oh, and there was also an MCU Black Panther. Which, by the way, looks glorious…) I definitely surprised a lot of folks–including myself–when I awarded my “Best of New York Toy Fair 2017” award to Diamond Select Toys. While I’ve always loved DST’s Marvel Select and Minimates figures, what really locked the award for them was neither of those long-running lines, though–it was their unexpectedly amazing showing of Marvel statues! And three statues that mystified me perhaps more than anything else at the 2017 Toy Fair were Diamond’s resin Marvel Milestones Doctor Strange and Civil War movie statues…

I so badly want to get back to posting reviews (I have a floor full of new figures waiting for review like you would not believe) and discussing some of the smaller companies’ new toys that I saw at New York Toy Fair 2017–but it looks like those things are going to have to wait a bit more, because the Hasbro Marvel Legends train isn’t slowing down at all! We only saw them revealed last weekend, but now Spider-Man Homecoming Marvel Legends packaged photos have already turned up! Here I thought that I had discussed all of the new Marvel Legends shown in my New York Toy Fair 2017 coverage last weekend, when I flipped through my photos today and realized I never talked about a trio that didn’t debut at the show. Not only did Hasbro bring the soon-to-be-shipping Marvel Legends 12″ Deadpool to show off at Toy Fair, but they also had the recently-revealed 12″ Thor and 14.5″ Hulk there. And I have to say, both these figures look a lot better than I expected in person…

While I was at Target this morning hysterically tossing the new X-Men Marvel Legends figures into my basket, I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye that it took my brain a moment to comprehend. Though I hadn’t heard any reports about them hitting stores yet, the Marvel Universe scale 3.75″ Marvel Legends 2017 Wave 1 figures were all in-stock and in front of my face, including X-23 Wolverine, Moon Knight, Maestro and more! While the staff and photographers of the biggest Marvel toy news sites across the world (and me) were all congregating in New York City last weekend for New York Toy Fair 2017, a pretty crazy thing happened–and I mean crazy. Even though Hasbro still hasn’t allowed online retailers to even begin taking orders for this year’s X-Men Marvel Legends 2017 Warlock Series figures, the figures physically appeared (and disappeared) on store shelves at Target stores across the country–and shortly thereafter began flooding ebay at inflated prices…

Tragedy stuck last week when the February 2017 Funko Marvel Collector Corps box I ordered arrived at my doorstep less than a day after I left for New York Toy Fair 2017. Okay, that’s probably a bit of hyperbole, but it was a disappointment to me to not be home to do an unboxing myself for the first time ever when a new Funko subscription box arrived. But as luck would have it, I have a wife, and I put her to work taking unboxing photos last week, which I’m now using for my Funko Superhero Showdowns review, unboxing and full spoilers…It’s been a quiet fall and winter for Hot Toys Marvel fans after the veritable onslaught of Hot Toys Civil War pre-orders last summer, but the respite is at an end and it’s time to get our credit cards warmed up once again! The high-end sixth scale Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Movie Masterpiece Series is ready to kick off this afternoon, with the new Hot Toys Deluxe Rocket Raccoon & Baby Groot figures now up for order! Apparently I must have missed some memos this last week while I’ve been drowning in the tsunami of New York Toy Fair 2017 news and photos, because Sideshow Collectibles was able to launch a figure this afternoon that I had no idea was ready to be solicited!

Just one week after their first Marvel sixth scale figure since 2015 went up for order, there is another: the Sideshow Exclusive Ghost Rider sixth scale figure is now up for order! For the past year-plus, Sideshow Collectibles has been hitting female statues out of the ballpark one after the next. And though she’s not necessarily a favorite of longtime classic comic book readers, the high-profile headliner superheroine Sideshow has going up for sale today looks like another home run to me: the Sideshow Collectibles Lady Thor Premium Format Figure statue is now up for order! With five of the seven Kotobukiya Spider-Man ARTFX+ statues currently up for order, I was hoping that Koto would surprise us by debuting the two final figures in the line at New York Toy Fair 2016 over the weekend. Well, I guess one out of two ain’t bad–we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see the prototype of the Venom ARTFX+ statue, but the Kotobukiya Spider-Man 2099 statue has now been revealed!

Over the weekend at New York Toy Fair 2017, Funko gave us our first taste of their Spider-Man Homecoming vinyl toys and figures. But it turns out that was just a sample of what the Big F has lined up for us, as an expansive variety of Funko Spider-Man Homecoming POP Vinyls, Dorbz, Hero Plushies and Pint-Size Heroes went up for order today! When Diamond Select Toys revealed and opened pre-orders for their Marvel Gallery Netflix Punisher statue last week, I wondered if we might get lucky enough to see Daredevil himself previewed at the New York Toy Fair 2017 or if that would be too much to hope for. Well, not only did DST meet my desire at the show, but they did me one better by showing off their lineup of Marvel Gallery Netflix, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Elektra statues! My first stop at New York Toy Fair 2017 over the weekend was at a booth that never disappoints me: LEGO! I was worried we wouldn’t see anything new at the show since the first Marvel 2017 sets literally were released one day before Toy Fair began, but there were two new LEGO Marvel Summer 2017 sets on display, including the LEGO Spider-Man Homecoming ATM Heist Battle 76082!
