You might be under the impression that LEGO Marvel's Avengers only features characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that is far from the case. While it does feature many of the movie versions of heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and more, the game is also filled to the brim with comic book superheroes and villains both new and old from across Marvel's long publishing history. One team of superheroes who have been in the headlines recently is The Defenders. Comprised of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron First, this team of street-level heroes looks to keep the citizens of New York safe from crime. Daredevil and Jessica Jones are already the stars of their own Netflix shows, with Luke Cage and Iron Fists shows in the works. Once each character has been established, they will all team-up for The Defenders show. But before you see them brought to life in live-action, you can play as them in LEGO form. This guide will help you locate each of the four heroes in LEGO Marvel's Avengers.

Unlocking and playing as each of them will score you an achievement if your on Xbox and a Trophy if you're on PlayStation to boot. Each of these characters are found in the open-world New York City area. Since LEGO Marvel's Avengers doesn't have a real map, only a mini-map, relaying the exact location of these characters can be tricky. We'll be using landmarks to try and point you in the right direction. Always keep an eye on your mini-map when hunting for characters, as their face will appear on the map when close. The Man Without Fear is located near the water on pier, near a number of shipping containers. If you're looking at the Roxxon Power Plant, he'll be down the street on your right a ways. Use a flying character to cover over the street and watch your map for his icon to appear. Though he's wearing his classic comic book look, he'll make reference to the Daredevil show and ask for your help in defeating some bad guys. Defeat them and you'll then be able to purchase the character.

His billy clubs allow him to swing through the city like Spider-Man, making the character a good one to grab early. Jones is located in the heart of the city, dressed as her Jewel superhero persona. She's trying to find a nanny to watch her kids, but all the applicants are late. The applicants just so happen to be other heroes like She-Hulk and Squirrel Girl. Track them down, help them defeat some bad guys and then return to Jones to unlock her at the character store. Jones can fly, making her another useful character to grab first thing once you have the required studs. Luke Cage, a.k.a. Power Man can be found in East Harlem on a street corner. He's fairly easy to unlock, as through the course of The Avengers campaign you'll find yourself in New York City, with your objective near Cage's location. Cage has agreed to help out some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but it turns out they aren't much good in a fight. You'll need to track down each agent and help them fight some thugs alongside Cage.

Once you're done, return to Cage to unlock the ability to purchase him. Iron Fist can be found between chinatown and Central Park. He's on the hunt for his dragon nemesis Shou Lao. You'll have to beat up a few innocent bystanders in Chinese dragon outfits before Iron Fist learns that maybe Shou Lao hasn't been resurrected after all. Once you're done he will be available for purchase at the store. Lego Dimensions’ brand bonanza, featuring franchises like Scooby-Doo, Portal, and Back to the Future, may the Lego game of the holiday, but next January Lego gaming returns to a universe more than capable of standing on its own. At New York Comic Con, developer TT Games and Marvel showed off the upcoming Lego Marvel’s Avengers. “It’s the Marvel Universe seen through the Avengers’ goggles,” said game director Arthur Parsons to the packed panel. While the previous Lego Marvel Super Heroes covered the Marvel Comics universe as a whole, this follow-up focuses on the House of Ideas’ premiere superhero team. Lego Marvel’s The Avengers’ story mode combines the plots of The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Like other recent Lego movie adaptations, the game will feature actual voice work taken from the films in recreations of classic scenes, with a few extra gags thrown in. If you want to see Lego Mark Ruffalo seriously discuss implanting an AI into a bionic pig, this is your game.

The new footage shown at New York Comic Con also revealed that the game will cover all corners of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Players will fight their way through abbreviated versions of standalone films like Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Plus, TV shows like Agent Carter and Agents of SHIELD receive shoutouts. Hayley Atwell is even providing new voice work. Lego Marvel’s Avengers will feature over a hundred new characters taken from the films and comics. Get ready for Lego Kamala Khan, The Collector, and even Devil Dinosaur and Moon-Boy. There will also be several open hub worlds to explore like Manhattan and Joss Whedon’s precious, nearly-cut Barton Farm. But with the tight focus on the Avengers, some of your favorite Marvel characters might not be making the team this time. Spider-Man has been left behind, and that probably spells doom for other non-MCU film characters like the X-Men and the poor Fantastic Four.
