We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the launch of a new console generation is the perfect time to check out the games and consoles you may have passed over during the preceding generation. This year’s Black Friday deals bear that logic out with some incredibly good deals on hardware, software, and accessories. Here are the best deals we found. Keep in mind that supplies will be limited and that many retailers are opening on Thanksgiving evening this year, so you may need to leave early to ensure availability. Several retailers have deals on 250GB PS3 systems bundled with two great games, The Last of Us and Batman: Arkham Origins. Fry’s has the best price ($187.77), but you can pick up the same bundle for $200 at GameStop, Hastings, Kmart, Toys R Us, Sam’s Club, Fred Meyer, or Walmart. At Meijer, that $200 bundle comes with a $20 coupon for a future visit. If you don’t mind buying a used system and games, $179.99 at GameStop gets you a 40GB PS3 with Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, NCAA 11, and Madden 09.

You don’t have to wait for Friday for that deal, either; you can get it online right now. If you don’t care about the software or HD storage space and just want a new PS3 at the lowest price possible, Walmart is offering a basic 12GB system for $150. Best Buy has the best deal on Microsoft’s older system by a good margin. For $190, you can get a 250GB system with Tomb Raider, Batman: Arkham City, Halo 4, and Darksiders 2. I doubt stocks will last long at those prices, so you’ll have to get there early Thanksgiving evening. Other retailers have deals primarily on the redesigned 4GB system. If you just want the system and nothing else, Walmart has it for $100 and Kohl’s has it for $140. Other retailers are offering the 4GB system bundled with a Kinect, Kinect Sports, and Kinect Adventures—Target for $190 and Sam’s Club, Radio Shack, and Toys R Us for $200 (Toys R Us includes a copy of Halo 3 as well). GameStop also has a good deal on refurbished, old-school Xbox 360s with 20GB hard drives and six games: Modern Warfare 3, Gears of War 3, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect 2, Homefront, and Halo Reach for $139.99.

No need to wait on that offer, either; you can buy it now online. If you want a 20GB system without the games, you can get it at GameStop for just $100. If you’re a Skylanders fan, Toys R Us has the best deal on Nintendo’s new system. For $260, you can get a basic 8GB system and a bundled copy of Skylanders Swap Force, including three figures, the portal of power, and Nintendo Land. GameStop has the same bundle for the normal $300, but it will give you a $25 gift card with your purchase. If you’re not interested in Skylanders and need some extra controllers, Best Buy is bundling a 32GB system with New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and a Mario-themed Wii Remote for $320. Meijer has the system and games without the controller for $280 and will throw in a $30 coupon for a future visit. For the basic 3DS, Fred Meyer has the best price, offering the system bundled with Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for only $130. Best Buy, Kmart, and Toys R Us offer the same bundle for a better-than-normal $150, while Kohl’s has the system and Paper Mario: Sticker Star for $150.

If you’re in the market for the redesigned 2DS, Walmart will have it for $100, and Kmart is advertising a price of $120. If the larger 3DS XL is more your speed, Target has a great price of $150, while both GameStop and Meijer bundle the big system with Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for a decent price of $220. Head over to eBay’s Deals site starting at midnight on Friday morning to get a PlayStation Vita at a respectable $149. If you can’t wait, you can pick up a Wi-Fi/3G Vita at GameStop right now and get a bundled copy of The Walking Dead for $200. If you still somehow don’t have the original Wii, GameStop will sell you a used one for only $70 on Black Friday. For $10 extra, you can get a bundle with Wii Play, Raving Rabbids, Carnival Games, Just Dance, and Boom Blox. Tons of retailers are offering great deals on games and figures for both Skylanders Swap Force and Disney Infinity. Walmart will have game-and-three-figure starter packs for both games at a significant savings of $38.96, while Sam’s Club members can get them for $37.98.

At Toys R Us, a Skylanders Swap Force starter pack will run you only $37.49. Many other retailers have both starter packs for a lower-than-normal $50. You can also get good deals on individual figures or packs of figures the day after Thanksgiving: Other good deals on gaming accessories: We couldn’t possibly list all the low-priced games that various retailers are advertising for Black Friday this year, but here’s a selection of some of the best deals being offered on big-name titles: On top of that, Toys R Us has a “buy one, get one 40 percent off” deal on all of its games. Kohl’s is cutting its game prices by 30 percent on Black Friday, while Fred Meyer is slashing its game software by 20 percent. The Last of Us Part IITusentals artiklar inom musik, film, spel och böcker för under 50-lappen! It's been over a month now since LEGO Marvel's Avengers first graced our consoles, and we've been busy smashing our way through Manhattan as the killer duo of Iron Man and Squirrel Girl ever since. The latter a bit of a strange choice perhaps, as up until relatively recently few things could tempt us away from the lurid green smashing ability of Hulk - until we discovered squirrel girl's ultimate secret. A giant mech suit with a destructive ability that easily matches that of an angry Bruce Banner, that can also leap into the sky and fly around, Iron Man style. And let's not forget all those squirrel-based attacks either. It's such silly inclusions that are one of the (many) reasons we love the LEGO games and their co-operative smash-everything-in-sight fun - and what better way to keep the LEGO love going than with some downloadable add-ons, as revealed by the folks at Warner Bros. With a total of five downloadable add-on packs set to be released over the coming weeks to months, each combining (at least) eight or nine brand new characters, and an extra playable level, it's the perfect way to make your Marvel Avengers go further.

The packs announced so far are as follows, with the first two hitting consoles at the end of the month, and the remainder coming later in spring. Classic Captain Marvel Character & Level Pack When an exploding alien machine gun grants her super powers, Carol Danvers becomes Captain Marvel, taking out her arch-enemies to save the city of New York. On top of the level, you'll also get eight new characters and a couple of new vehicles - Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel's Skycycle, Helen Cobb's Plane, Kang The Conqueror, Magnitron, Moonstone, Poundcakes, Tic, Warbird, and Wonder Man. Classic The Masters of Evil Character & Level Pack In this LEGO-ised retelling of a classic 1963 comic book adventure, Baron Zemo and his Masters of Evil are up to no good, trying to lure out the Avengers and take them down once and for all. Alongside this level, you'll be able to net yourself eleven new playable characters - Baron Zemo, Black Knight (Dane Whitman), Black Knight (Nathan Garrett), Enchantress, Executioner, Iron Man (Classic), Melter, Thor (Classic), Valinor, Whirlwind and Radioactive Man.

But sadly, there's no Fallout boy to be seen... Classic Black Panther Character & Level Pack Retelling T'Challa's origin story, this level follows Black Panther and his sister Shuri, as they try to evade the chaotic invasion of their home land of Wakanda and save their mother from the clutches of the villainous Klaw. Nine characters and a new vehicle are included in this one - Aragorn, Black Knight (Augustine du Lac), Black Panther, Black Panther Skybike, Dora Milaje Warrior, Killmonger, Man-Ape (M'Baku), Shuri, Ulysses Klaw (Classic), and White Wolf. All-New, All-Different Doctor Strange Character & Level Pack In this level, the duo of Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange and Clea travel to the Dark Dimension to fend off the villainous Mordo and Dormammu, for reasons that are as yet unclear. With this level pack, you'll get eight new characters included - Baron Mordo, Clea, Doctor Strange, Doctor Voodoo, Dormammu, Jennifer Kale, Mindless One Warrior, and Night Nurse. Hopefully they'll also include her long lost sidekick, Vick Vaporub.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Character & Level Pack The final level pack sees the SHIELD team stuck in a precarious position, having failed to win over the enigmatic Inhumans. Having invaded the SHIELD Hellicarrier, it falls to the Agents of SHIELD to neutralize the Inhuman threat and uncover the secrets of Afterlife. With thirteen playable characters and a new vehicle, this one sounds like a biggie - Agent Daisy Johnson, Agent Leo Fitz, Agent Koenig, Agent Melinda May, Agent Bobbi Morse, Agent Jemma Simmons, Cal Johnson/Mr. Hyde, Deathlok, Gordon, Grant Ward, Jiaying, Lincoln, Raina, and The Bus are all included, although we are slightly disappointed we haven't got yet another Coulson to add to the already included Agent Coulson, and Agent Coulson (with glasses). Each pack will be up for download for 2.49 each, or you can plump for the LEGO Marvel's Avengers Season Pass for 7.99 instead, which nets you all of the above as and when they become available, at a saving of 4.46, along with the following freebies:
