You might be under the impression that LEGO Marvel's Avengers only features characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that is far from the case. While it does feature many of the movie versions of heroes like Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and more, the game is also filled to the brim with comic book superheroes and villains both new and old from across Marvel's long publishing history. One group of comic heroes that are available to unlock in-game are the Young Avengers. Comprised of Wiccan, Speed, Kate Bishop, Hulkling and America Chavez, the Young Avengers are a team of adolescent heroes who all have ties to some of the big name characters most people are familiar with, like Hulk, Captain America and Hawkeye. Though these characters won't likely make their big screen debuts anytime soon, it's still cool to play as them in LEGO Marvel's Avengers. This guide will help you locate each of the five heroes, but it's going to take some work. Unlocking and playing as each of them will score you an achievement if you're on Xbox and a Trophy if you're on PlayStation to boot.

Some of these characters can be found in the hub area of New York City, but you're going to have to replay a story mission and travel to a few other locations to snag each team member. Since LEGO Marvel's Avengers doesn't have a real map, only a mini-map, relaying the exact location of these characters can be tricky. We'll be using the general areas these characters are located in to try and point you in the right direction. Always keep an eye on your mini-map when hunting for characters, as their face will appear on the map when close. It's also a good idea to use a character who can fly, as this will allow you to cover ground quickly. You'll find America Chavez in the Avengers Assemble level, on the freeway towards the end of the level. If you're playing on Free Play mode, start at checkpoint C and make sure you bring Hawkeye. Fight your way to the Firetruck and shoot the glass with Hawkeye's sonic arrow to cause the character unlock token to fall from the truck. Pick it up and then proceed to Save and Exit level.

You'll still need to purchase her through to character unlock store. Hulkling will be hanging out with his friend Wiccan in the Sokovia hub area. Seems Wiccan's summoning spell has gone wrong, and the two heroes need help defeating a corrupted hero. Complete the side quest to unlock Hulkling in the character unlock store. For this character you're going to need Loki. If you haven't purchased his Avengers costume, you can also gain a free Loki by completing the Lost in the Aether level from Thor: The Dark World. Travel to the Burton farm hub area and climb or fly to the top of the farmhouse. Smash the pipes near the chimney to reveal water puddles. You'll then use Loki's special ability to freeze the puddles. Once that's done, the unlock token for the Kate Bishop version of Hawkeye will appear. You'll still have to purchase her at the character unlock screen. To unlock speed, you'll have to do a couple of missions for Lou Ferrigno first. You'll find the first in the Financial District and the second in Central Park.

Once those are done, Lou Ferrigno will appear once again, this time around Times Square. He'll need you to pick up some of his shirts for him. When you've finished, Speed will be unlocked for purchase. You'll find this spellslinger in New York City's forest area. He's in a cave with his pal Hulkling, under a hilltop with a billboard on top. Seems some Dark Elves have mistaken Wiccan in his Asgardian costume for Thor, so the two friends need your help holding them off. Once you're finished, Wiccan will be available for purchase in the character unlock store. If you're looking for more LEGO Marvel's Avengers, be sure to read our full review here. Back in 2013, LEGO created a totally amazing game called "LEGO Marvel's Superheroes," where you could play as almost every single iconic hero and villain in the Marvel universe from Ant-Man to Baron Zemo. In January, they'll be following that up with "LEGO Marvel's Avengers," which follows the movie versions of each character through the events of "Avengers" and "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" -- and trust us, it's going to be awesome. Check out the newly released trailer if you don't believe us: Today (October 9), the team responsible for turning our favorite super-team into adorable minifigures assembled at the LEGO Marvel New York Comic Con panel to tell us more about what to expect when this new game comes out in January. However, yesterday, MTV News got the chance to check out our very own private demo of the game (it's okay to be jealous), and we saw some totally incredible stuff. Here are the highlights: Watching cutscenes in "LEGO Marvel Avengers" is often like watching a shot for shot LEGO remake of the "Avengers" movies you already love, complete with the original lines of dialogue as spoken by the real stars -- with some ridiculous sight gags and dorky jokes added in, of course.

It wouldn't be a LEGO game otherwise, right? But that's not all-- in addition to getting to play our your favorite battles in "Avengers" and "Age of Ultron," you'll also be reenacting scenes from a huge chunk of the Phase 2 Marvel movies like "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and "Thor: The Dark World" as well, and playing with versions of the characters that appear all across the MCU. Remember how Maria Hill was always there to give you a hand in the last LEGO Marvel game? In this one, she's back and played by none other than her live-action counterpart, Colbie Smulders. Both Hayley Atwell ("Agent Carter") and Clark Gregg ("Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.") also recorded brand new lines of dialogue for some of their side-quests, too -- and yes, they're playable, too. Peggy Carter even has her trademark red hat. Because this game is filtered through the lens of the "Avengers" movies, it's focused primarily on the characters that Marvel still retains movie rights to -- so sorry, Wolverine, but you're probably going to have to wait for the next one.

But that's fine by us, because... The Internet is already super pumped for comic book characters like Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, the new Thor and Squirrel Girl, as LEGO announced their presence in the game a few months ago. But there will also be super obscure favorites like Fin Fang Foom or Devil Dinosaur and Moon Boy. Heck, Butterball makes an appearance. Do you know who Butterball is? Of course you don't, but he's great. Eventually the game will contain over 200 different characters (not to mention all the different outfits and skins that some characters will have), and the creators of the game tell us that they will keep adding new ones to the line-up -- often times based on what the fans on Twitter request -- right up until the week before the game is ready to release. That's dedication, right there. The creators of "LEGO Marvel's Avengers" are all about getting you and your friends to switch back and forth between all the characters as often as possible, but now the game developers have added a wrinkle -- every pair of characters has a team-up move with one another, and some of them are wonderfully specific to their actual abilities and relationships in the comics.

For example, Quicksilver can throw Captain America around to strike several enemies at once, and Moon Boy can actually ride Devil Dinosaur around. When you weren't saving the day in story quests in the first LEGO Marvel game, you'd spend most of your time Manhattan, AKA the location of nearly every single base of operations for all the Marvel heroes. But in "Marvel's Avengers," you'll have so many more interesting places to explore, like Asgard, South Africa, Washington D.C., and even Clint Barton's cozy little farm upstate. Your characters can also do way cooler stuff in the open world, too; in story mode, Quicksilver can only run up walls in certain situations, but if you're hanging out in a hub area then he can do it all the dang time. Tony Stark has Veronica to keep The Hulk in check when he gets out of line, but he's not the only one with a giant suit of armor to wear. So does Stan Lee, as the team behind "LEGO Marvel's Avengers" revealed at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year.
