Interactive has announced that Spider-Man has today joined the hallowed ranks of LEGO Marvel's Avengers, with the Spider-Man Character Pack available for free to anyone who bought the game. The DLC pack includes six different versions of the web-slinger, including his recent Captain America: Civil War guise. Also included is the classic Peter Parker comic book Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man hero Miles Morales, Spider-Girl, Iron Spider, and Peter Parker's clone, Scarlet Spider. The Spider-Man Character Pack is available free for LEGO Marvel's Avengers now on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Windows PC. Check it out in the trailer below. It will be available for all systems that have DLCs most likely next Tuesday. There’s no word on which characters will be available besides Tom Holland’s Spider-Man from Civil War so we’ll have to wait and see. Anticipation and excitement around the next films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are at an all-time high, though you don’t have to wait until May for the series’ next installment with the upcoming release of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers later this month, which will also be receiving free DLC based on the more recent and upcoming films in the mega franchise.
A new post on the PlayStation Blog revealed that free DLC for the title will be arriving with new content drawn from last summer’s Ant-Man and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, with both DLC packs coming exclusively to the PS4 and PS3 versions of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers. The first pack will be the Captain America: Civil War DLC, which arrives on January 26th, 2016 and includes nine additional characters set to appear in the upcoming film: Captain America, Iron Man (Mark 46 armor), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Crossbones, and Agent 13. Each of the characters will be available to use in the main game, and also for the game’s numerous levels and open-world locations. The DLC pack based on Ant-Man will be arriving in Spring 2016, with the new content to include a new level based on the film and introduces 11 new characters, including Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Ant-Thony (Flying Ant), Cassie Lang, Darren Cross, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, Luis, The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne), and Yellowjacket.
