Expect Classic Captain Marvel and Masters of Evil Character & Level Packs to be among the first DLC packs available. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced the first pieces of DLC for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will launch on March 29. The will both be available on March 29 and will include such notable characters as Captain Marvel, Baron Zemo, the Classic versions of both Iron Man and Thor, and more. Here’s the synopsis as well as all of the characters and vehicles included in both packs: Classic Captain Marvel Character & Level Pack After an exploding alien machine grants her amazing super powers, Carol Danvers became the interstellar Super Hero known as Captain Marvel! Now, when arch-enemies reappear in her life, it’s up to Captain Marvel to save the city of New York. This pack features eight playable characters, a new vehicle, and one new level. Characters and vehicles included: Captain Marvel, Captain Marvel’s Skycycle, Helen Cobb’s Plane, Kang The Conqueror, Magnitron, Moonstone, Poundcakes, Tic, Warbird, and Wonder Man
Classic The Masters of Evil Character & Level Pack Baron Zemo and his Masters of Evil are up to no good when they attempt to lure out the Avengers and defeat them in this re-telling of the classic 1963 comic book adventure. This pack features 11 playable characters and one new level. Characters included: Baron Zemo, Black Knight (Dane Whitman), Black Knight (Nathan Garrett), Enchantress, Executioner, Iron Man (Classic), Melter, Radioactive Man, Thor (Classic), Valinor, and Whirlwind Later this Spring, LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will receive additional DLC, including the Classic Panther, All-New, All-Different Doctor Strange, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Characters and Level Packs. Here’s the info for those packs: Classic Black Panther Character & Level Pack In a re-telling of T’Challa’s origin story, Black Panther and his sister Shuri must evade the chaos of an invasion of their home country Wakanda and save their mother from the clutches of the villainous Klaw.
This pack features nine playable characters, one new vehicle, and one new level. Characters and vehicle included: Aragorn, Black Knight (Augustine du Lac), Black Panther, Black Panther Skybike, Dora Milaje Warrior, Killmonger, Man-Ape (M’Baku), Shuri, Ulysses Klaw (Classic), and White Wolf All-New, All-Different Doctor Strange Character & Level Pack Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Strange and his powerful ally Clea must travel to the Dark Dimension and fend off the villainous Mordo and Dormammu. This pack features eight playable characters and one new level. Characters included: Baron Mordo, Clea, Doctor Strange, Doctor Voodoo, Dormammu, Jennifer Kale, Mindless One Warrior, and Night Nurse Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Character & Level Pack The team finds itself in a dangerous position after failing to make peace with the enigmatic Inhumans. The Inhumans have now occupied the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and it’s up to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to neutralize the threat and uncover the secrets of Afterlife.
This pack features 13 playable characters, one new vehicle, and one new level. Characters and vehicle included: Agent Daisy Johnson, Agent Leo Fitz, Agent Koenig, Agent Melinda May, Agent Bobbi Morse, Agent Jemma Simmons, Cal Johnson/Mr. Hyde, Deathlok, Gordon, Grant Ward, Jiaying, Lincoln, Raina, and The Bus Season Pass holders will be able to experience all of this content for $9.99. Those who prefer to purchase their DLC a la carte, each can be purchased individually for $2.99 each. Season Pass holders will be given free access to the following three additional Character Packs: The Avengers Explorer Character Pack, featuring Iron Skull, Scuba Iron Man, and Space Iron Man The Avengers Adventurer Character Pack, featuring Hyperion, Scuba Captain America, and Space Captain America Visit Chatty to Join The ConversationAt last, I’m free to speak about one of the most exciting things that we’ve been squirreling away on at TT Games for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, outside of everything that already makes the game such a fun and authentic Marvel title (yes, Squirrel Girl reference intended… sorry!).
LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is getting some FREE, yes FREE, DLC content exclusively for all PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 players! What’s even more awesome is that this content is based on the brilliant Marvel’s Ant-Man movie and also one of my most anticipated films of 2016, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. And yes, believe it or not I’ve managed to keep a lid on this, I’m not quite sure how… but I have. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers already features content from six epic Marvel films (and a plethora of content from the rest of the Marvel Universe, including a ton of characters from Marvel Comics), however, now PlayStation gamers will be able to add content from two more movies to their LEGO Marvel’s Avengers experience. So, I hear you all asking… what is this content exactly, and what makes it so exciting? (I don’t really hear you asking, it’s just a figure of speech, as I can imagine the thoughts that are in your head). Well, first up we have the Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War Character Pack, which will be available at launch on 26th January and includes nine characters – YES…
NINE CHARACTERS – featured in the upcoming movie: Captain America, Iron Man (Mark 46 armour), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch and my personal favorites, Crossbones and Agent 13. It’s a great pack that will hopefully get everyone as excited as I am about the film. Obviously before you ask, YES, you will be able to take all of these characters into the main game, into the various levels or into the eight different open world locations. The second is the Marvel’s Ant-Man Character & Level Pack, of course based on the Ant-Man movie, which will be available later this spring. This pack features an awesome level based on a section of the film (which one? I hear you ask… well, that’s top secret so you’ll have to wait and see!). It also has 11 great characters, including Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Ant-Man (Hank Pym), Ant-Thony (Flying Ant), Cassie Lang, Darren Cross, Scott Lang, Hank Pym, Hope Van Dyne, Luis, The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) and Yellowjacket.
We are really bringing Ant-Man and Yellowjacket to life with all the abilities that you’d expect them to have. The team and I here at TT Games are positive you will really enjoy this DLC offering. But, not only are we bringing you the characters and the level content, the part of this pack I’m most excited about… You’ll be able to fly around on Ant-Thony within the DLC level and then into the main game as well. When I watched the movie with the team, we really enjoyed it, so much so that I went back to watch it again the next day, and then saw the amazing playsets that LEGO created for the film. So to now be able to pair those together and bring them to life in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, it’s yet another reason why this game has been an absolute delight to work on. In addition to the movie and comic content in the game, we’re really looking forward to hearing what you all think of the many new features in LEGO Marvel’s Avengers, specifically the Avengers Team-Ups.
When you think of the Avengers, you think of teamwork, pulling together against adversity as a team. So, now you can team-up characters to perform incredible combo moves to take down the bad guys. Teaming up core Avengers results in unique moves based on the pairing so we hope you enjoy trying out all of the various combinations to see which is your favorite. For us, it’s yet another reason why LEGO Marvel’s Avengers has been such a pleasure to develop. All of us on the team here are Marvel fans so make sure you look out for the various references and nods we’ve put into the game to make it the most authentic and fun experience. We really think that this is our best game yet – more humour, more characters, more features, more open world gameplay, more abilities and, of course, more movie content exclusively for PlayStation fans.
