This page contains a full walkthrough in addition to locations for Minikits and Collectibles. LEGO The Lord of the Rings Walkthrough Part 2 - The Black Rider During this level, you must not venture into the moonlight or the Ringwraith will spot you, forcing you to tap a button to dissuade Frodo from putting on the Ring. Begin by smashing the first Lego boulder you see, then pick up the piece that bounces out and throw it at the bird perched on the tree branch. This will spook the Ringwraith on to the area. Next, use Sam's spade to dig up another Lego piece and throw it at the boulder on the right of the screen. Next, crawl into the hatch and climb out along the tree limb to scare the next bird, distracting the Ringwraith again. Use Sam again to grow the plant in the ground which will sprout into some cover your hobbits can use move on to the next area. You'll begin the fight with Saruman in a unique perspective for a Lego game, blasting him with 's staff from first-person.
Rapidly tap the button prompt to drop down to the floor. Saruman will sling fireballs at you, which can be easily avoided by running left or right. Next, he will jump into the air, sending a torrent of energy your way when he crashes back down. Jump to the side as he lands to dodge the blast. Finally, once Saruman is drained, use Gandalf's staff (via a button prompt) to pick the white wizard up and toss him into one of the surrounding pillars. Repeat this process twice more to trigger the cut-scene. Once you're back in control of the hobbits, smash the surrounding blocks to reveal three tile pieces. Pick them up and place them into your inventory, then drop them onto the path in front of the boulder. Push it down the hill to move on. Next, toss a block at the owl on the tree branch (twice), then, in the next area, use Sam to bridge the gap in the path by growing a giant flower. Switch to Merry and use his fishing rod on the short pier to pull up a crab. Throw said crab into the torch across the river to burn down the bridge on which the Ringwraith is standing.
Use Sam once again to dig up a block which you can use to knock the bee hive down onto the Ringwraith. The bees will storm through the dead tree and burst out through the cobweb. Crawl thorugh the downed tree trunk, and finally, throw the apple on the ground at the sign post to distract the Ringwraith one last time. Despite your sneakiness, the Ringwraiths will find you and give chase. Frodo will automatically run forward, so simply steer him to the left and right to avoid the Black Riders (and into the Lego studs!) After completing the level you'll unlock Frodo (Shire), Merry, and Pippin. Sam is unlocked automatically before the level. You will need the Berserker to get 100% on this level. LEGO The Lord of the Rings Collectables Walkthrough Part 2 - The Black Rider Hidden Area - The MoleCaveHead to the left at the beginning of the first area and use a strong character to pull the Orange Handle, opening up a hidden cavern below.To begin with, run to the back of the cave and jump up to grab the vine hanging below the moss-covered platform, lowering it to the same level as the ledge.
Run across to the left to find Minikit #1. While still in the underground cavern, you'll need to cover up several mole holes, forcing said mole to emerge with Minikit #2. From Minikit #1 use Gimli to smash the platform to cover the hole under the platform. Next,Set a fire with Sam on the left side of the cavern to block up the first hole, then head to the right and switch to Legolas and shoot an arrow into the target above. Finally, switch to Frodo and use Galadrial's Phial to light up the dark recess to the left of the ladder back to the surface. Once back on the main span of the level, you'll spot a small sliver of Minikit #3 floating behind a tree. Walk around the right side of the tree to nab it. When you reach the Small Character Hatch, switch to a character that can destroy Morgul objects and walk down the narrow path toward the bottom of the screen. Smash the object and rebuild its pieces to scare a mole into giving up the Ferryman's Hat treasure. To the right of the hatch, walk into the stream and switch to the Berserker.
Throw a bomb into the Silver Lego Blocks to uncover Minikit #4. Further along the main path, you'll find another Dark Recess which you can light up with Frodo to find the Soup Pot treasure. While fighting Saruman, toss him into the stained-glass window with a lock on it. After smashing it, a bird will fly through and drop Minikit #5. Five-Part Minikit (Third Area)Shoot down five bird's nests in the Third Area to get Minikit #6. (All five are high in the trees,)1. Immediately after the area where you roll the boulder down the hill. Above where you grow the giant flower.3. Also above where you grow the giant flower.4. To the right of the beehive. After growing the giant flower to get over boulder in the path, switch to Gimli and smash the Cracked Lego Tile to find Minikit #7. After burning down the bridge, run up the stream and smash its remains. At the waterfall, switch to Sam and use his rope to pull the Grapple Point on the left to find the Mithril Music Horn Blacksmith design.
Use Sam's rope to pull the second Grapple Point at the waterfall to find a Green Tracking object. Switch to Aragorn and follow the green trail to find the Mushroom Crown treasure. When you reach the hollow tree with the cobweb, switch to Gollum and climb up the Scalable wall to grab the hidden Minikit #8. Back in front of the downed hollow log, use Sam or the Mithril Trowel to dig up Minikit #9. At the end of the level, during the forced-running segment, hang all the way to the right to grab Minikit #10.
