As you might have heard by now, the Lone Ranger movie tanked – badly. Disney is expecting to loose at least $150 million on the film. Of course this wasn’t a surprise. A couple of years ago a similar film, Cowboys & Aliens, flopped as well. I have no idea why they keep pushing these Western-themed films; today’s movie-going crowd is just not as enamored with cowboy movies as previous generations. They should have known that… For LEGO fans however this is not so bad news; it just means that the LEGO Lone Ranger sets are going on sale! And, as you know, LEGO did a wonderful job on these sets! The design, the selection, the colors, and the minifigs are all really sweet. So if you are into Western, you will love the sets, and even if you are not, the dropping prices will allow you to pick up some nice parts and minifigs on the cheap for your own LEGO creations. Oh, and don’t forget about that lovely train! The LEGO Lone Ranger sets are currently on sale on Amazon, and you can also expect local retailers to clear them out soon as well. A

Please keep in mind that prices on Amazon fluctuate quite a bit, so sale prices can be even better by the time you read this. Sets can also sell out quite fast, but I expect LEGO Lone Ranger sets to be around until the end of they year before they fully sell out at various retailers. On

ce the theme gets fully discontinued prices will rise again on the secondary market. I think these sets will be great-resellers; especially the stagecoach and the train. 🙄

The second of two theatrical features specifically based on and continuing the TV show The Lone Ranger it stars Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels, reprising their roles from the TV series.[2] The first feature film was 1956's The Lone Ranger. No further films based on this specific version of the characters were made after this one. Three Indians were brutally murdered by a gang of hooded outlaws.

Each one possessed a silver medallion, which were sections cut off from a large silver plaque which served as a treasure map to a secret location where a large amount of gold is reputedly stashed. Two more medallions are unaccounted for, and the The Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore) and his friend Tonto (Jay Silverheels) must use all their resources to intercept the gang, prevent further carnage and save the owners of the medallions. ^ "Ranger in New Adventure" (The Miami News, June 21, 1958, page 8A; includes photograph from the film depicting action scene with horses)"Lone Ranger Scores Hit in Utah Appearance" (Deseret News and Telegram, July 2, 1958; includes close-up photograph of masked Clayton Moore, with the caption: "HI-YO SILVER!—The Lone Ranger (in the person of Clayton Moore) made one-day stopover in Salt Lake City Tuesday.")"Plenty of Company for the Lone Ranger.
