You might want to place your pre-order at Gamestop: they’re offering an exclusive Lego polybag to their customers. Queue up at Gamestop, and you’ll snag yourself set number 30320, Gallimimus Trap. In case you’ve forgotten which one Gallimimus is, think back to the original Jurassic Park movie. The scene where scores of dinosaurs go streaming past an awe-struck Alan Grant and the kids? They’re the little fellas that were running away from the escaped T-Rex. The polybag comes with just 29 pieces, but it’s still a fun little build (Lego exclusives usually are). You get a Lego Gallimimus (likely pre-assembled) and the remaining pieces are used to rig up the apparatus designed to capture him. The trap is even articulated, so when the dino goes for that delicious-looking Lego chicken leg the electrified chain can swoop down and subdue him. Lego Jurassic World won’t be released for a while yet — it’s due to hit stores on June 9th.
Fortunately there are a couple of trailers out already that give you a sneak peek at what you can expect. A select few have even gotten to play through a couple of areas, and they’ve been good enough to share a few tidbits with the rest of us. One of the best features of any Lego game is the expansive list of characters you can play as, and that hasn’t changed with Jurassic World. But you won’t just get to play as any of the human characters you can imagine — you’ll get to smash down fences and bust up logs as the park’s dinosaur inhabitants, too! You also get to play with dinosaur DNA. Collect amber specimens and head to the lab, and you’ll be able to concoct your own custom dinos. Game Informer was told that there are around 1,000 possible combinations. How awesome is that? The retailer has announced details of its 2015 Black Friday sales event, which is more than just a one-day sale. First things first: if you have anything you need to trade in at GameStop, today is the day. The retailer is offering 50 percent extra credit for trade-ins on Monday, Nov. 23, plus some huge discounts on pre-owned merch. You can get a 160GB PlayStation 3 or 250GB Xbox 360 today for $99.99 and select Xbox One and PS4 titles like Madden NFL 15 and Call of Duty: Ghosts for $9.99. Yes, you read that right: current gen console games for $10. GameStop will continue the fun on Tuesday, Nov. 24, and Wednesday, Nov. 25, with a pre-Black Friday event, offering sales on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 accessories, Beats headphones, and more. Unlike a number of other big retailers (like Target and Walmart) GameStop will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will pick things back up at 5 a.m. local time Black Friday, Nov. 27, and keep the savings going through the weekend. "We told our customers we would be offering the best Black Friday deals we ever have, and we are," GameStop Senior Vice President of Merchandising Bob Puzon said in a statement. Those in the market for an Xbox One can save an extra $50 on the 1TB console and controller bundle during the Black Friday weekend sale, bringing it down to $449.99 — a deal you'll only find at GameStop. On top of that, all new Xbox One and PS4 console bundles will be $50 cheaper than usual. GameStop also plans to offer the 32GB Wii U Deluxe Set bundled with Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon for $279.99, and on Black Friday only, the new Nintendo 3DS XL for $179.99, or $20 off the standard price. You can also get the Zelda Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL, exclusive to GameStop, for $199.99.
