Latest Entertainment News Headlines New promo videos for Iron Man 3 shows off all of Tony Stark's suits of armor Not too long ago several images were released of the wide variety of suits that will appear in IRON MAN 3. There were six total and during a stop in Bejing during the film's world press store those same suits (as well as some previous suits) were shown off in a series of snazzy new promo videos.  The videos were created by artist Kaism Lim and you can check out some of his other work here. There's also some images from the video as well so you can get a closer look at the suits. Clearly from the trailers we know Tony Stark is going to have a bunch of shiny new suits to play with and since most of the suits have their own unique purpose it has been a lot of fun guessing why certain ones are in IRON MAN 3 and discussing which suits we want to see make an appearance.

Having this many suits in the movie also means there's going to be even more toys than normal for a film like IRON MAN 3 and buckets of cash for Disney and Marvel. Toys 'R Us has a Hall of Armor display set up in Times Square and the sheer amount of Iron Man figures is staggering. Take a look at this impressive set below and you can see more images from the Hall of Armor display on the Iron Man Facebook page. IRON MAN 3 is in theaters May 3rd, 2013. Do you have a small collection of figures and if so which one is your favorite? The most recent trailer and the Facebook Unlock the Armors gave have given us good looks at many of them. I suspect that Tony will mostly wear the Mark 42 armor with the other armors being controlled remotely by him. How he accomplishes this we don’t know, possibly it will involve the Extremis “virus” that looks like it will be featured in the movie. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Iron Man or a newcomer from the previous Iron Man and Avengers movies, there’s no doubt that seeing all the different versions of the armor on screen at once will be exciting. As the release of the movie draws near, more info about the armors featured within has made its way to the web. We’ve collected all the information about them on this page and will keep it updated as new armors and images are revealed. So dig in and check out the many armors of Iron Man 3. This one is included only because it’s featured in the Iron Man 3: Suits of Armor kids book. It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t see this in the film at all.

This is the suit that Tony Stark wore in the final battle of the Avengers. It will probably get a few minutes of screen time. While not revealed in the official marketing for the movie, I’d have to think we’ll see at least the Black Stealth suit appear in the finale of the film. It’s a classic armor from the comic that even had an action figure in the Iron Man 2 line of toys. This suit gets the “Hearthbreaker” name from the over-sized chest, which can fire different levels of power beams and generate a force shield. Another suit that’s only been revealed in the Iron Man 3: Suits of Armor kids book. This suit has jackhammer arms and is built to handle tough punishment from construction debris. This is a version of the Silver Centurion suit that Tony wore in the comics in the 80s. It’s a fan favorite, but the movie version doesn’t stray too far from the basic design. The comic suit was quite different. The movie suit is said to have a small force field and magnetic powers.

This suit is nicknamed “Red Snapper” because of the extendable claws at the ends of the arms. Less agile and with limited flight capabilities, this suit can focus the Repulsor Tech energy into an explosive ball and lauch it at a target. Another classic comic suit that only appears (so far) in the Suits of Armor book. Like the Black Stealth suit, a toy version was made for the Iron Man 2 toy line as well. This is the suit that many thought would be the “Hulk-Buster Suit” from the comics. While it’s similar looking, I can see why they wouldn’t want a “Hulk-Buster” suit making the Hulk look like a bad guy after he was the hit character from Avengers. The movie suit has be re-colored blue with “construction stripes” clearly marking the suit’s purpose. This suit gets a quick moment at the end of the 2nd trailer. Here’s the suit that started all the excitement about multiple suits in Iron Man 3. When the Funko toy of this suit was accidentally revealed in January, it started all kinds of speculation that Tony would make a trip into outer space at the end and meet the Guardians of the Galaxy.

While I’m not totally ruling that out, the explanation provided on the page from the “Suits of Armor” book makes sense and fits the character. This suit is capable of speeds up to Mach 5. The description mentions is “locks” into a solid shape once in fligh and features arm blades that could be used as weapons. Based on the look, desription and high mark number, I hope we see this suit in action in the film. This is an interesting looking suit that’s revealed in the “Suits of Armor” book. It looks similar to the black & gold suit Tony is wearing currently in the comics. It’s desrcibed at the light suit that has minor capabilities, but it also serves as the frame for Tony to attach other pieces. The latest and greatest suit that will likely be featured in Iron Man 3 is the Mark 42. It’s the modular suit that was first revealed to the public and the suit that can attach to Tony, piece by piece from a distance. And there you have it. That’s all of the suits that have been revealed so far, in some official capacity.
