Try serious, game-eviscerating trouble, to put it mildly, if reports on this 37-page (and growing) PlayStation Forum thread — noticed by Joystiq yesterday — are characteristic of what the newfound error signifies. The error presents as a blue report-a-problem screen on the PlayStation 4 with the following text: “An error has occurred in the following application (CE-34878-0),” followed by the game name and the usual bit about doing your part to help improve the platform by singing out. As usual with arbitrary error codes, it’s not clear what the error indicates, with listed symptoms ranging from random (but otherwise innocuous) in-game crashes, to claims that the error corrupts save games or prevents games from launching at all, to howling that it bricks the system entirely. The “fixes” are just as haphazard, with some claiming that reinitializing the PS4 fixes the problem and others saying they did so to no avail. A few users claim that after speaking with customer service, they were advised to return their system, presumably direct to Sony, in trade for a new one.

And a handful are reporting real nightmare scenarios, in which the error flushes dozens of hours of gameplay down the toilet for good. Sony appears to be aware of the commotion, and one of its community managers had this to offer some 350 messages into that thread: If you are experiencing this ce-34878-0 error code, please close the application and then install the latest system software and game patch. If the error occurs again, initialise the PS4 system after back-up of the save data and please also submit any crash reports after re-booting your console when the error occurs. But that’s all the company’s saying for now, so a few thoughts on how to protect yourself until we know more, or there’s an official fix. If you’re using PlayStation Network cloud saves, I assume the corrupt save files get copied up to the server right away, thus eliminating that as a workaround. You might consider turning off automatic cloud data uploads, then manually synchronizing saved data to the cloud periodically.

Assuming the games support it — and if memory serves, several on the PlayStation 3 didn’t — you could alternatively perform those periodic backups to an external hard drive. Doing either of those things won’t make you bulletproof, but it should at least eliminate the “I just lost 40 hours of my life to a string of letters and numbers” thing. - 2 years 9 months ago Over Hill and Under Hill is the sixth level in the Story Mode. The story mode walkthrough features everything needed to get through the chapter. All Collectibles locations are detailed in the Free Play Walkthrough farther down the page, even though some of them may be available in the story mode playthrough. Getting into this level is a little odd as it involves a cut scene and then more time in the Hub World before the chapter proper begins. Just follow the light blue studs a short way to get to the cut scene. After the cut scene ends, once again follow the light blue stud trail a long way around Rivendell to get to the next cut scene, which still doesn't begin the chapter.

Follow the studs again, this time a short way through the hills, to the chapter start. At the start of this chapter, the party is divided into two groups - a group on the upper path (this is the group the gameplay starts with) and a second group below them on a lower path. The goal of this section is for the upper group to help the lower group move forward and rejoin them. On the upper path, hammer smash through the barrier to the right, then look for a dwarf stack spot to the left of the overhanging platform, and put Oin, Nori, and Bifur on it. Switch to another character and walk as far to the right as possible, then destroy the crates in front of the stone barricade. Pick up the crank that is revealed. Climb up the stacked dwarves onto the platform and use the crank to lower a crate down below. Switch to the lower path group and use Dori to pull the gold Lego hook on the crate, then use it to build a walkway across the gap. Just on the other side of the plank walkway, destroy the stones there then build the pieces into a weight which will pull down the rock barricade from above.

Switch back to the upper path group and being walking right. Three boulders will smash down from above. Use the pieces of the boulder on the farthest right to build an object that goes through the rock. Use a dwarf to jump-smash to the cracked plate on top of it, sending it crashing below and creating a platform for the lower group. Still on the upper path, walk as far to the right as possible, then use Dwalin to hammer smash the mine cart that is in the way. After the mine cart is out of the way, switch to the lower path group and have them use the new platform to cross the gap, then keep walking right to a large cracked wall. Buddy-up to break the wall and bring some boulders falling down, one of which will create a stepping stone to get up the next ledge. Hop up that ledge then walk to the right until the crane rope and hook is in view. Destroy the crates on the ground near the hook, then build a crate onto the hook. Once the crate is on the hook, switch back to the upper path group and look for another dwarf stack plate to the left of another crane platform.

Stack the dwarves and climb up it, then use the crane (this one already has a crank) to lift the crate up top. Once the crate has smashed itself, use the pieces to build a craft table, offer it the required loot (there's lots of mining that can be done around if more is needed), and do the Lego build to make a lightning rod, which will let nature take care of the next barrier. Move to the right and start down the hill to launch a cut scene. The party now finds themselves on a stone giant, which is battling another stone giant. Use the hang rail on the right to hop up a level, then destroy the Lego stones that are right there to get a rock that can be picked up. Walk to the left with the rock and throw it (use the aiming function) at the plant in front of the ladder up and to the left. Build the pieces of the fallen plant into a hang rail then use it to hop up and then climb the ladder. Head to the right and around the corner then left up the stairs to launch a cut scene. After the cut scene, keep heading left, smashing barriers, then hammer smashing a mine cart that is in the way.

Keep heading left and smash the barrier in the way, launching another cut scene. After the cut scene, keep heading left as far as possible. Use Dori to grapple on to the gold Lego hook overhead, then another character to hang on him and pull the crate down. Build the crate pieces into a ladder. Before going up the ladder, destroy a nearby rock in a notch in a corner of a wall, just below the green vine hanging down. Pick up the rock that is revealed, then head up the ladder. At the top of the ladder throw the rock at the plant above. Use the pieces of the plant to build a hang rail, and use it to climb to the ledge above. On the ledge, use Dori to pull the gold Lego hook, creating a way to get farther up. Climb up and launch a quick cut scene. After the cut scene head to the right and up a series of stairs until another cut scene launches in which the giant swats at the party. After the cut, there will be a new cracked plate where the giant hit himself. Buddy-up to crack the plate and launch another cut scene.
