Bilbo and his company of cheerful dwarves managed to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the vicious and cunning dragon, Smaug. While the dwarves stayed, Bilbo went back to his Hobbit-Hole to care take of his lovely garden. We hope you’ve had lots of fun playing with the LEGO® The Hobbit™ sets! Bilbo’s adventure may be over, but yours doesn’t have to be! You can still explore Middle-Earth and play as Lord of the Rings characters in LEGO DIMENSIONS™! - 2 years 9 months ago An Unexpected Party is the second level in the Story Mode. This chapter takes place in Bilbo Baggins home. After the previous chapter ends, Bilbo is dropped into the game hub for the first time. Follow the light blue stud trail up to Bilbo's house to start this chapter. Once the story starts inside Bag End, destroy the chest to the right of the door to uncover the key. Pick up the key and use it to unlock the door. In the next room, destroy the bookcase on the right then build the rest of the platform next to the piano.

Switch to Dwalin and hit the left side of the piano with his hammer to clear the way into the next room and launch another cutscene. There's nothing much that can be done in Story Mode in the newly accessible room, so instead backtrack and take a left into the living room. Keep heading left into the kitchen and then into the dining room. Destroy the cabinet to the left of the red curtains, then build the crafting table. Stand in front of the crafting table and turn in the correct Loot to start the Lego Build to build the dining room table and launch a cutscene. (If the characters don't have enough of the right Loot yet, wander around the house destroying things and collecting loot). Once the cutscene ends, the task at hand is to find three food items and deliver them to the table (one at a time). Switch to Kili and use his bow to shoot the target above the sausages. Pick them up and deliver them to the table. In the next chamber, destroy the shelves to the left to bring down the cheese.

Pick up the cheese and deliver it to the table. Switch to Fili and use his dwarf axe to destroy the cracked plate at the far end of the chain of rooms, bringing down the shelves and the milk bottle. Pick up the milk bottle and deliver it to the table to launch the next cutscene. And now it's time to dance! Play the plate throwing game by hitting the correct button when the indicator glows. The better timed the button press is, the more studs you'll earn. Doing well here is the key to earning Master Burglar in this chapter. Once the dance is over, it's time for a finishing cutscene and the end of the chapter! Most of the Collectibles in this level are outside or in the cellar, which is accessed from the outside. All are found during the "At Your Service" portion of the level. To get outside, follow the Story Mode walkthrough above to get through the first locked door and destroy the piano. Once the piano is destroyed, the way is open to a new room with a door with a blue lock on it. Use Gandalf to blast the lock, and the door, revealing a new door.

Take this exit to the back garden. - 2 years 10 months ago For those who've never played a Lego game before, this Starter Guide will show the basics of navigating the different play modes and Hub Worlds and finding Collectibles. For those who've played previous Lego outings this guide will catch players up with the newer and somewhat complex features that are introduced in Lego Hobbit. EditStory Mode The game features sixteen story-based chapters (and one bonus chapter). Each chapter must first be played in "Story Mode". A story mode play through offers a limited number of characters for use, and players will find many Collectibles to be unobtainable. Once a chapter has been completed in Story Mode, it becomes unlocked for Free Play. EditFree Play Free Play puts players back into a chapter, but offers the freedom to switch between any characters the player has unlocked/purchased. Players may also choose to only play certain sections of the chapter. Once a player has unlocked Characters, Treasure Items, and/or Mithril Items with certain abilities, it is time to go to Free Play and grab all the Collectibles that were out of reach during the Story Mode play through.

- 1 year 6 months ago Greatest Kingdom in Middle-earth is the first level in the Story Mode. This chapter takes place in the kingdom of Erebor. The story mode walkthrough covers everything needed to get through the chapter. All Collectible locations are details in the Free Play Walkthrough farther down the page, even though some items may be accessible in the story play through. After the opening scene, head down the stairs to the right and on down to the large door with the statues. Destroy both statues then build a block with the pieces. Switch to Thrain and use his hammer to smash the block. Head through the newly opened door, then follow the stairs down and around to the guarded door. Smash a hole in the wall to the left of the guards, then pick up the rock on the ground and throw it at the statue way up above the door. Once the guards are busy eating, head through the door. In the next room, jump up on the crates to the right of the barred door, and jump and grab one side of the weighted arm.

Stay there and switch to the other character and have them jump and grab the other side to open the door. Move into the new room to find the first Crafting spot. The characters will need to collect Loot to use at the anvil to craft a key to open the next door. With the exception of the gold, all the necessary loot can be acquired by smashing up the carts with the colored gems in them. To get the gold, go through the dwarf hatch to the left of the locked door, and turn the crank to stop the flow of molten gold. Hop back down to the collect the gold. Head over to the anvil and trade in the loot to play the minigame to make the key. In the next room there is a hooded gentleman who is apparently too lazy to walk a few feet to his left and grab a flute off a table, so our heroes will need to that for him. Pick up the flute and hand it to him and enjoy the happy dance that ensues. Now switch to his character, and mine the three piles of ore on the ground in front of him; this is a minigame that requires pressing the button when the indicator is as close to the middle as possible.

Hit it dead center on the first or second pass to get as much as possible and end the minigame. Once the ore has been mined and the loot has been gathered, build a crafting table in front of the platform with the barrel on it. If the characters have the right loot to build, do so, otherwise smash some more things up and collect the loot needed. Turning in all the loot will launch a Lego build Minigame. Look for the flashing pieces in the picture on the right and choose the corresponding piece in the wheel on the left. Do it quickly and correctly to get a large stud bonus. When the new contraption has been built, jump into one of the barrels on it and mine the ore on the side of the cliff until a cut scene launches showing that they've the Arkenstone. After the cut scene ends, make use of the save statue and switch into the new character here who's holding a handy "flail" that can be used to grapple onto gold rings like the one on the front of the rubble that's blocking the path. Next up, switch the character's weapon to an axe, and use it to smash the cracked plate on the front of the next set of rubble.

Now for the next even bigger cracked plate, two of the characters will need to Buddy Up to break it. Stand next to another character and press the correct button, then press attack to launch a powerful beatdown. Use the flail to pull down the last bit of rubble, then head down the stairs. Buddy up again to break the large cracked plate then head down the rest of the stairs to the large door where another cut scene awaits. After the cut scene head towards the door where some falling debris will smash a hole in the floor. Bust up the debris to the right and use it to build a large block. Have someone grab the giant hammer to the left of the door, and use it to smash the block to open the entrance to Smaug's treasure room. Go down to the bottom of the ramp and use the flail to pull down the large gold statue. Climb over the fallen statue, then bust up all the stuff over there and use it to build a bridge. Hop onto the green platform. On the first green platform, use the flail to grab a hook under the overhanging green piece, and create a chain to swing across with.
