- 2 years 8 months ago IGN's Lego: The Hobbit Walkthrough guides players from the doorstep of Bag End to Smaug's Treasure Room. The walkthrough for each level is divided into two main parts - Story Mode and Free Play. The story mode walkthrough is everything needed to get in and out of the chapter. The Free Play walkthrough details how to find all the Collectibles - even though some of the Collectibles may be accessible in the Story Mode playthrough, they are all detailed in the Free Play Walkthrough. Greatest Kingdom in Middle-earth Over Hill and Under Hill Out of the Frying Pan Barrels Out Of Bond Lego The Hobbit is a Lego-themed action-adventure video game developed by Traveller's Tales. The game was released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on 8 April 2014 in North America, and 11 April in Europe. The game is a follow-up to Lego The Lord of the Rings based on the first two Hobbit films An Unexpected Journey and The Desolation of Smaug.[1] It was released on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, OS X and Microsoft Windows. 3 The Battle of the Five Armies The game shows several features from the previous games, including a feature where the user should locate specific materials to build a big Lego object. When the user selects and input the correct materials a screen is displayed where the Lego machine is built and the player should select the correct pieces in exchange for studs. Also the characters have different actions to perform, making the Dwarf Company a group with different capabilities during the mission, including someone with archery abilities, another that uses a big hammer that can move big objects, another with the ability to extract minerals from stones, and so on.

Bilbo improves his abilities as the game advances: when he gains Sting he has the ability to be a more skilled fighter; and when he gets the One Ring he can disappear and build invisible Lego structures. The game, similar to the latest Lego video games, is composed on a big map, rather than a single hub. The player can move among different events where different characters ask the player to retain a specific material from a mission or to exchange materials. See also: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey § Plot, and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug § Plot Much like its predecessors, the game presents storylines from the The Hobbit films: An Unexpected Journey and Desolation of Smaug. However, the developers modified the storylines to fit the events into a number of game chapters per film, as well as adding the humour the series has become known for. It was reported at the London Toy Fair in January 2014 that a DLC would be released covering the events of the final film in The Hobbit series, to be released around the time of the film at the end of that year.

[3] However, no DLC was released. Over a year later, in a correspondence with GameSpot it was revealed that, despite no actual cancellation of the DLC, there were no longer any plans to adapt the film as a DLC, nor to adapt it as another game. Similar to Lego The Lord of the Rings, Lego The Hobbit features talking minifigures. The dialogue is taken directly from the films. Additional voices were provided by Tim Bentinck, Liz May Brice, Clare Corbett, Duncan Duff, Daniel Fine, Joel Fry, Jenny Galloway, Andy Gathergood, Anna Koval, Jonathan Kydd, Steve Kynman, Jamie Lee, Andy Linden, Sara Beck Mather, James Naylor, Emma Pierson, Jason Pitt, Richard Ridings, Emma Tate, and Marcia Warren. Christopher Lee has an uncredited role as the narrator in the game. The game received mixed to positive reviews. The critics praised the game's visuals and humor based on Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy but criticized the disjointed story, sameness of characters and the ending. - 2 years 9 months ago

Inside Information is the sixteenth and final level in the Story Mode. The Story Mode walkthrough includes everything needed to get through the chapter. All Collectibles locations (even those accessible in the Story Mode playthrough) are detailed in the Free Play walkthrough farther down the page. To get into this chapter simply walk left and up into the crevasse. Head to the right, smashing up objects along the way. Smaug will occasionally attack, but there's nothing to be done. Even though the characters will fall apart, they won't lose any studs. Progress to a barrier with a cracked plate and use Balin (Lake-town) to smash it. Pick up the flail off the ground then use it to pull down the giant statue. Keep progressing to the giant gold scale. Look for a cracked plate to the left of the scale and smash it, then build the base of the ramp. Go up the ramp, then to the right. Smash a crate at the base of the column, to reveal a gold Lego hook. Build the hook onto the column, then use the flail to pull, angering Smaug.

After the cut scene, smash the cracked plate, then pick up the bow off the ground. Use it to shoot the target on the chandelier. Keep progressing forward, smashing treasure and trying to avoid Smaug's notice. At the end of the line a cut scene will launch. Use Dori to pull the gold Lego hook on the objects on the stairs, then use the pieces to build part of a craft plate. Hammer smash the boulder on the track then use the pieces on the ground to build the rest of the craft plate. Stand on the craft plate, hand over the required Loot, then do the Lego build to make a bellows and launch a cut scene. After the cut scene, destroy the objects covering the green dwarf stack plate on the right. Put Nori (Lake-town) on the plate, then have Bilbo (Lake-town) climb over him. Have Bilbo smash the crate on the stairs, then have Nori use the pieces to make a ladder. Up the stairs and around the corner, destroy the object then use Bilbo in ring mode to build the wraith objects into dwarf stack plate.

Put Nori on the plate then have Bilbo climb over him to the ledge above. Have Bilbo jump and grab the hang ledge, then work his way around the column and then up to the top. Stand under the large lever and jump and pull it. After the cut scene the action moves to a lab with Ori and Balin. Destroy the object underneath the center color wheel target to put the color solution up on the wall (red, blue, red L to R), then have Balin jump and pull the chain next to each target while Ori shoots the target until the desired color appears. Once the color wheels are set, some objects will dump on the ground. Build them onto the table. Once the table is set, have Balin stand in front of it and mix the chemicals. Now it's time to lob the molotov cocktails at Smaug. Get five hits to end the battle. The easiest way to get hits is to aim over his head. Use Ori (Lake-town) to shoot the weighted bag target until the ladder drops. Climb up a level and use Dori to pull the gold Lego hook above the gap to bring the bridge down.

Cross over the have Dori stand on the lit spot on the left side and follow the button prompt. Climb up to the next level and destroy the object to reveal the crank handle. Pick it up and use it to crank the crane with the ore on it to create a way across the gap. Jump across the gap and put Ori on the lit spot on the right side and follow the button prompt. Put Nori (Lake-town) on the dwarf stack plate that appears, then have Bilbo climb up him and jump to the little ladder above. Have Bilbo destroy some objects, sending pieces down below that Nori can use to build hang bars on the pole to the left. Have Nori climb up then smash the cracked wall to the left. Put Nori on the lit spot on the left and follow the button prompt to end the chapter. The Free Play walkthrough details all Collectibles locations, even though some items may be accessible in a Story Mode playthrough. This section takes place in Smaug's treasure room. Thorin's plan starts in the furnace area and runs all the way through the fire-bomb attack on Smaug.
