LEGO Dimensions Exclusive First Look At The New Hermione Granger Fun Pack By Ian678 29 days agoThere's only a month left before LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham hits store shelves, and developer Traveller's Tales still has surprises up its sleeves. Today talk show host Conan O'Brien, Duck Dodgers as the Green Loontern and more crazy characters were added to the game's already impressive roster. According to the lovely people at the game's New York Comic Con panel, which can be viewed in its entirety on Twitch, Conan O'Brien will serve as a guide of sorts to the open-world gameplay of LEGO Batman 3, which should come in handy as this time around there are entire planets to explore. On one of those planets, players will run into this guy: Yes, it's Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers as the Green Loontern, voiced by the legendary Joe Alaskey. So that's a cartoon voice acting legend, one of the world's most popular television personalities, one of the world's most accomplished stoned guys — those three alone are worth the price of admission.

They've also got the star of TV's hit show Arrow, Stephen Amell, to voice the Green Arrow in the game. That's not all fans of the show are getting. Not only are they getting all of the show's major players in a DLC pack, they're getting an exclusive level — Oliver Queen is going back to the island. Other reveals at today's panels include: Solar Suit Superman — social media begged for this one.I own his minifig, so good to see it in motion. And, of course, Condiment King. This game is going to be freaking huge, a DC Comics LEGO game with a bigger scope than the massive LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. To recap all the news we will look at the new characters, new pack types and new gameplay modes! This is just a very quick overview, we will get into the nitty gritty of the details with separate posts! Make sure you check back soon! 16 new franchises have been added to the already impressive line up of Lego Dimensions. These include classic video games like Sonic to cult classic films like The Goonies. Here is a quick list of all the new characters confirmed by the team in streams or through official announcements: Here are some of the promo images of the characters listed above! We also finally saw the official release of Green Arrow! He was a free gift to anyone who sat through the presentation presented by the Dimensions crew. (If you want him, he’s going for about $75 on ebay BUT Dimensions did promise to make sure there are plenty of opportunities to grab him in the future.) Didn't make it to E3? We got you covered with a #LegoDimensions #GreenArrow giveaway!

Follow us & retweet to enter! — Bricks To Life (@BricksToLife) June 15, 2016 We are currently giving one of the packs away (more giveaways soon!) head over to twitter to enter! From the beginning the team behind Lego Dimensions have said the starter pack would be good for a minimum of 3 years. There have been a lot of questions about how they were going to make that work, and they’ve addressed that with the announcement of new Story Packs. These packs will include a new portal dressing, character, vehicle and six full levels of fun to play through and explore. These Story Packs will retail for approximately $49.99. It’s already been teased through various live stream appearances that we will get a story pack for Ghostbusters (2016), Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them & Lego Batman Movie. A super exciting note for all the other packs is an overall price reduction (which hasn’t been reflected by any of the sites where you can currently pre-order the new packs).

Battle Arenas are a big new addition to the year 2 Lego Dimensions release. Any character with a yellow base can unlock a battle arena for their franchise. This means we’ll see at a minimum 17 battle arenas! The gameplay mode can be up to four players of local co-op and features all different types of battles. From all out brawling to specific objective & task completion, the new Battle Arenas are sure to offer a ton of additional gameplay to an overall well rounded game. Make sure to check back soon for more detailed updates about release dates, new packs, and more! In the special limited admittance presentation theater, small groups of press and fans were treated with previews of the upcoming line up (and a free Green Arrow). In that special Lego Dimensions presentation, a very short glimpse of Mission Impossible gameplay was shared.

Dimensions was kind enough to stream this presentation once or twice on their Facebook page, and we snipped out the preview and featured it in the video below! Want More Lego Dimensions News? Have you entered our latest giveaway?Filmmaker and comics writer Kevin Smith has been revealed as a playable character in “LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham,” alongside Green Arrow — voiced by Stephen Amell — and such other recent additions as Deadshot, Deathstroke and Polka-Dot Man (seriously!). And if that isn’t enough, DC Entertainment’s Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns will also find himself immortalized in (digital) plastic as a playable character. Johns, Smith and Amell are set to appear on the game’s Oct. 11 panel at New York Comic Con. Arriving Nov. 11 from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games, LEGO Batman 3 takes the Dark Knight, well, beyond Gotham, as he joins with other DC Comics heroes and villains in outer space to top Brainiac from destroying Earth.
