We have just added a new “Calendar” menu option.  All programming for the library with room location information can be viewed using this option. To return to the home page from the calendar, just click on the Forbush Memorial logo located at the top of every calendar page.  We will be adding all community events held at the library to the calendar as well. The “Search” feature at the top right of the page allows you to search for a specific topic on our website, e.g. e-books, fines, etc. Your library account is accessible by clicking on the “Online Catalog” or the “My Account” buttons in the right sidebar column. Should you have any questions or suggestions please let us know. The Forbush Memorial Library is participating for the first time in the Boston Bruins’ annual pajama drive. The Bruins’ goal is to collect 10,000 pairs of new pajamas for children and teens in need. The Boston Bruins PJ Drive runs from February 1 through March 15, 2017.




The library will be collecting new pairs of pajamas for babies, children, and teens. Please drop off your donations in the Children’s Room or in the collection box on the main floor. Thank you for making this a successful drive! Put on your P.J.s, or come as you are, for our drop-in evening storytime! We share stories, songs, and make a craft. A snack is served too! Children of all ages are welcome. No registration is required. For more information  please call 978-874-7416 and ask to speak with the children’s room staff. Please join us for this program for our youngest patrons. The program includes songs, stories, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement. The program is 30 minutes in length. Following the program, children and caregivers will have the opportunity to socialize. Siblings are welcome and no registration is required. We hope to see you there! Please join us for stories, songs, and a theme related craft.  We have three drop-in storytimes to choose from so that you have maximum flexiblity!




On Wednesdays we will be having a storytime at 10 AM and at 11 AM. These storytimes are for children 2 – 5. A snack and craft will be included. Coloring pages will be available for children under age 3. On Thursdays we have a storytime at 11 AM. This storytime is for children up to age 6. A craft will be included. Color pages will be available for children under age 3. No snack is served at this storytime. No registration is required for our storytimes.  For more information contact the children’s room at 978-874-7416. Please join Jana for a fun-filled program of play, songs, stories, and activities.  This program is for children aged 0-5. Circle Fun Time will be every Friday in March. All ages are welcome to come and build their own Duplo/Lego creations from our huge collection.  Participants can drop-in for as long as they would like, and join in the fun at any time during the program. The Duplo/Lego club meets in the Eloranta Room on the top floor.




This month the program will be held on Friday, March 3rd, 17th, & 31st. Please join the new Teen & Tween Advisory Board.  To give your own unique input on what you would like to have happening at the library.  You can suggest books and movies, design programs you and your friends want to go to, and meet new people to hang-out with. There will also be opportunities to volunteer at the library for those teens and tweens who want to earn community service hours. Come to a meeting and check-it out. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28th at 3 PM.  Bring your ideas, we’ll bring the snacks!   The library is sponsoring the Great Decisions program series for 2017, beginning Thursday, February 2 at 6:30 pm in the Eloranta Room.  This weekly series of discussions focusing on America’s current international relations will run until and is free and open to the public.  Discussions on specific topics, introduced by a brief DVD prepared by the Foreign Policy Association, will be led by selected presenters.
