While trends come and go, there's one name that never fails to make the top ten – Lego. Here are some of the Lego sets for fans to get excited about this year:Rebel U-Wing FighterThe U-wing is a new addition to the Star Wars fleet, developed for the upcoming spin-off Rogue One.The fighter is equipped with retractable wings to transform its shape and a see-through observation desk, as well as stud-shooters and spring-loaded guns to fend off any attacks from the Dark Side. The 659-piece set comes with five mini-+figures from the film: Jyn Erso, Vistan, Cassian Andor, a U-wing pilot and a Rebel trooper, armed with two blasters and ammo.Buy the Lego Rebel U-Wing Fighter set now from AmazonWinter Holiday TrainNothing says classic Christmas present like a toy train set, and this Lego version ramps the Yuletide spirit up to the max with a steam engine decorated for a white Christmas. The set combines nostalgic details - holly wreathes and a gas streetlight – with more modern touches, such as a revolving Christmas tree and a ticket collector with a walkie talkie.

Best of all, there are real presents to unwrap, containing miniature – even by Lego standards – toys such as a wind-up car, a fire engine and a remote-controlled robot.Buy the Lego Winter Holiday Train set now from AmazonBuckingham PalaceThe Queen's London home is one of the best-known royal residences in the world, and this Lego set from the Architecture range brings Buckingham Palace to life in miniature.Much of the set's charm stems from its attention to detail, from the faithful reproduction of the palace's neoclassical façade to the Royal Standard flying overhead. As a finishing touch, the set also includes a dinky version of an iconic red London bus and black taxicab.Other sets available in the Architecture collection include replicas of the White House, the Eiffel Tower and Big Ben.Buy the Lego Buckingham Palace set now from AmazonYellow SubmarineWith so many Lego sets focusing on modern kid-friendly franchises such as Star Wars and Harry Potter, a set devoted to The Beatles' psychedelic 1968 comedy Yellow Submarine might seem like an unusual prospect.

However, adults and children alike will appreciate the detailed recreation of the titular yellow submarine, as well as the brilliantly realised mini-figures of Paul, John, George and Ringo. A groovy gift for Fab Four fans.Buy the Lego Yellow Submarine set now from AmazonFerrari F40If you've ever dreamed of owning a Ferrari, Lego's F40 set offers a taste of life in the fast lane at the far more affordable price of £69.99.With more than 1,100 separate elements to assemble before you reach the fully finished product, it's about as close to the real thing as a model can get.Even the most hardened petrolhead will struggle to find a detail from the iconic supercar that hasn't been lovingly rendered in Lego, including a hinged, vented rear hatch, turbocharged V8 engine, pop-up headlights and cabled door handles.Buy the Lego Ferrari F40 set now from AmazonSkip to main content You are hereHome / Coloring pages / Transport / Rescue Vehicles / Fire Truck coloring page NSWFR Scania pumper fire truck photo by Highway Patrol Images

Blog Promobricks shared pictures of Lego’s newest additions, featuring a young boy in a wheelchair alongside a helper dog. The Fun in the Park set, due to launch in the summer, also includes a dad pushing a baby in a pram, a cyclist, an ice-cream vendor and a commuter. The move has been met with praise from campaigners who have been lobbying for the company to diversify their range of characters, in order to include the millions of disabled children who felt they were not represented by previous sets of the popular toy.

Check out our video on this awesome new #LEGOCity set with a baby minifigure and a boy in a #wheelchair #Spielwarenmesse #ToyFair #IntToyFair Posted by Promobricks on Thursday, January 28, 2016 It’s co-founder Rebecca Atkinson - a mother of two who is partially deaf and has tunnel vision due to genetic condition retinitis pigmentos - said of the new characters: “We are beyond happy right now." Lego have just rocked our brick-built world and made 150 million disabled kids, their mums, dads, pet dogs and hamsters very very happy.”We've just fainted with happiness. @LEGO_Group you just rocked our brick built world! Thank you, thank you! — Toy Like Me (@toylikeme) January 27, 2016 Ms Atkinson is now seeking investment via a crowdfunding website to grow the Toy Like Me organisation and create an online hub to help parents find products which represent disability, and has raised £3,638 of a £16,000 target within just a few days. Lego had previously come under fire for promoting a tiny plastic wheelchair as part of a Duplo set which included a range of ‘Community People’ of ages and ethnicities.

In a promotional photo, an elderly Duplo character was sitting in the wheelchair. "We applaud Lego for producing a wheelchair," Atkinson said in a statement. "But it's so disappointing" that the only person using the wheelchair "is an elderly person being pushed along by a younger figure. What does this say to children about disability?"
