This MOC is build in 2/3 of mini fig scale and is about 6 meters long. Originally build for the Star Wars day @ Legoland Germany 2011. ( Build by Dutch Moonbase member Marco Baas )Few cars incite as much fervor and attention as the Ferrari F40. Born from rally-bred roots found in the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO and 288 GTO Evoluzione, the F40 was holds the distinction of being the final Ferrari signed off by Enzo Ferrari himself. While over 1,200 individual F40s were made between 1987 and 1992, recent sale prices of the F40 have breached the $1 million threshold, making the F40 unobtainable to the average enthusiast.Thankfully, the master builders over at Lego took it upon themselves to offer a little slice of the Ferrari F40’s mythos to the public, with a new Lego Creator Ferrari F40 set.

Thankfully, it is as fully detailed as we have come to expect from the Lego Creator series. Working closely with Ferrari, Lego fitted the model with numerous intricate details, ranging from NACA ducts on both the hood and the doors, the black line running down the side of the car, and a Ferrari-branded steering wheel on the inside. The details that define the F40, like the pop-up headlights, triple-outlet exhaust, and the red racing seats are all represented. Open up the front clamshell hood, and you find a small toolkit, fluid reservoirs, and a storage area.Around the back, the trunklid props open to reveal the glorious 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-8, rendered in plastic. While the Lego scale model does not push out the same 471 hp and 424 lb-ft of torque the real-deal churns out, it does fully detach from the model, so the builder can get up close and personal. To create this model, a few components were specially created, including the windshield, wheel insert, coloring, and the amber taillight disc.

This is not the first car to be cast in Lego bricks, as Lego has previously released a Volkswagen T1 Camper Van and a classic MINI Cooper. The 1,158 piece set starts at $89.99, and will be available for direct purchase from Lego through their online shop, beginning in August.Ferrari Enzo Replica Based On... Ferrari F430 Is a Million Dollar Fail Believe it or not, the Enzo replica in the adjacent images is built on another creation of Maranello, an F430. Yes, instead of turning to your usual Fiero donor car, the people who put this together this chose another Ferrari. If nothing else will tip you off, you should at least mind the yearWhile the Enzo was bought to the world between 2002 and 2004, this F430 was born in 2007. Then again, you don't need to get to this detail in order to spot the inconsistency. Some could say Maranello itself placed an Enzo skin over the 430 with the Millechili concept the Itlians introduced back in 2007. Still, that was just a study that showed a one-ton Ferrari to the world, while this is just a fraud.

Admittedly, this Enzo replica looks closer to the original than most Prancing Horse clones we've seen. After all, when you start off with an F430, you probably want to mind the custom work so that you don't ruin your investment. According to the people who handle this, the body is made of carbon fiber, just like on the actual retired Ferrari halo car.Still, there are plenty of visual clues that scream "run away, if you buy me, Enzo's ghost will haunt you for eternity".But of course the damn thing is for sale, what did you expect? Don't expect it to come cheap though. The F430-based Enzo clone lies in Israel and it's being offered for a you're-not-ready-for-it $425,000 (EUR339.770 at the current exchange rates). To get a better idea on where that price places the replica, we'll mention that, nowadays, an Enzo trades hands for $1.4 million (EUR1 million). Whether we're talking about the exact proportions or the details such as the headlights, as well as the entire rear side, a Ferrari guy or girl will easily sniff this one out.

As if this tortured horse's story wasn't bad enough on its own, the message of the sale ad is meant to seal the deal: " Truly a ONE OF A KIND car, Million dollar look with out the excessive maintenance or insurance." Alas, this Enzo, which is supposed to be number 400 (the actual cars built) plus one or something, is yet another case of people abusing Enzos. ferrari replica Ferrari Enzo Ferrari F430 replica fail overkill See all FERRARI models Ferrari FXX Racecar For Sale at Speculative PriceFerrari Enzo abandoned in DubaiEnlarge PhotoLast August we brought you news of a dust-shrouded, incredibly pitiful Ferrari Enzo (amongst a small fleet of other luxury vehicles) that had been apparently abandoned somewhere in Dubai. Then this week, word broke that the Enzo was set to be auctioned by the Dubai police. It turns out that's not the case. According to Emirates 24/7, the Dubai Police says the car was seized as evidence in a crime (in this case, theft) and as such, will not be disposed--by sale or otherwise.

In fact, Interpol requires the Enzo and one other Ferrari to be held for their purposes--though the real owner of the car may yet get it back. We can understand that--but what we can't understand is how the Dubai Police and/or Interpol justify storing the Enzo out in such harsh conditions, exposing the once-valuable car to so much deterioration--and depreciation. It also turns out that the car wasn't actually abandoned at all--the photo of the dust-covered Enzo comes straight from the premises of the Dubai Police impound lot. Yep, that's just how  they do it there. On the other hand, the Enzo sort of has been abandoned: the rightful owner could ostensibly retrieve it at any time, but hasn't, for more than eight months. Makes you wonder if the owner is still alive, no? What a shame, all around. Send us a tip People Who Read This Article Also Read Dubai Wants To Ban Poor People From Owning Cars To Clear...
