Exo Suit41 ReviewsFIND MORE PRODUCTS LIKE THISIdeasGo on a mission to discover the amazing Exo Suit!Biosuit scene from District 9 This article is about the battle mech in District 9. For the Alive in Joburg bio-suit, see this page. The bio-suit (also called a mech prawn), as the name says, is a mech used by the to defend, attack or help in construction and repairs. The appearance of the bio-suit in District 9 is greatly changed from that of the short film. The suit now appears to be more of a mechanized piece of equipment, and is much larger than the bio-suits of Alive in Joburg. Instead of simply wearing the suit as one would with the bio-suits of the short film, the new suits have a central chamber in the thoracic cavity of the machine where the operator resides. Inside the machine, the operator has complete control over a wide variety of tools and weapons on the suit which are all controlled via the highly advanced heads-up display. The mechanized suit could presumably be used for tasks such as ship and technology repairs, but the suit also has a wide arsenal of highly dangerous offensive and defensive weapons.

The suit has been shown to posses a larger version of the ARC gun, a machine gun, rocket launchers and a metal spike that drives into the enemy and sends a charge through them that eventually causes them to explode. The suit can also activate certain weapons on its own when a prawn (or one with prawn DNA) is attacked. Once it eliminates all threats to the threatened prawn, the cockpit opens allowing the prawn to climb in and use the mech for self-defense. The bio-suit has an in-built AI auto-pilot, but the motion of the suit in this state is more robotic. The bio-suit is totally interactive with the driver when used, for example when Wikus is damaged using the suit, a fluid sprays and the suit walks lame like a damaged creature. When the bio-suit is activated in the film, it quickly dealt with Wikus's human attackers, identifying only him as having prawn DNA. It then presents itself for his use, maybe because the reactions of the AI are not as effective as those of the non-humans.

The weapons on the suit (or at least the ones that have been seen being operated) appear to be similar to standard alien weaponry, but they are integrated into the suit. A variant of the ARC Gun, a chaingun-like weapon, and missiles are the weapons that have been seen on the bio-suit. A strange defensive mechanism is also present on the suit which appears to be a telekinetic field. This magnetic field can completely control the paths of bullets and other objects, making the suit nearly untouchable by firearms. Once the mechanism has gained control over an object or objects, it possesses the ability to launch the objects back at targets with great accuracy and velocity. Wikus uses this tool to launch a pig at attacking MNU forces and launch the bullets of the Nigerians back to them. The suit appears to need a direct connection to the mind of the operator as when Wikus starts it up, two rods are drilled into his head, removing themselves when the exosuit breaks down. The Nigerian gang end up getting one of these from the non-humans as part of an attempt to trade for food.

During the end of the film, Little CJ activates it as the Nigerians are about to kill and eat Wikus. The suit automaticaly kills all of the Nigerians and opens itself to Wikus. Finding himself surrounded, Wikus uses the suit to escape and rescues Christopher Johnson. Wikus covers Christopher until he's close to the drop ship, but is forced to have Christopher go on without him as the suit has by that point taken a lot of damage and can't go very fast anymore. Wikus uses the suit to battle MNU's forces, killing all but their leader Venter, but after getting shot multiple times, including with a high-powered sniper rifle, had its left hand blown off by a rocket and rammed twice with trucks, the suit breaks down and ejects Wikus.Enter the characters you see below Sorry, we just need to make sure you're not a robot. Official LEGO Comments 1 Last Updated 2 years ago. Click "Updates" above to see the latest. In the near future Doc Terror, and his cyborg companion, Hacker, unleash their forces to conquer Earth! Only one force can stop this evil: a handful of brave men. In specially created Exo-Frames, they can be transported anywhere to fuse with incredible assault weapon systems, beamed down from the space station Skyvault, becoming man and machine, Power Xtreme! Max Ray, brilliant Sea Operations commander. Jake Rockwell, rugged Land Operations specialist. Ace McCloud, daring Air Operations expert. Whatever the challenge, they are ready—the Centurions! The Centurions is a 30 minute animated series aired in 1986. This project is the Lego interpretation of Centurions to celebrate their upcoming 30th Anniversary in 2016. The set contains of Skyvault, Crystal Kane, Max Ray in Tidal Blast, Ace Mcloud in Sky Knight, Jake Rockwell in Wild Weasel. Skyvault can be seated by Crystal Kane (Photo 1).

Max Ray, Ace McCloud, Jake Rockwell would have their respective lego hair pieces (Photo 2). The assaults weapons Tidal Wave, Sky Knight and Wild Weasel are similar to the ones used in the TV series (Photo 3). Additional assault weapons system plus Doc Terror would be made available upon 10,000 supports. This build needs your help to be realised!!!"It is normal when first piloting a PRAWN suit to feel a sense of limitless power at your fingertips. Professional PRAWN operators receive weeks of training to counteract this phenomenon. You will have to try not to let it go to your head." The P.R.A.W.N. Suit (Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nanosuit) (Mk.III) is a vehicle. It is a powered suit of armor, designed for use in both the deep-sea and space - capable of affording protection to a pilot whilst maintaining maximum dexterity with hydraulic limbs and a reinforced canopy. It is however not directly worn - rather it is a large frame that can be piloted in a seated position.

Unlike the other vehicles of the game, the P.R.A.W.N. Suit walks along the ocean floor, only using thrusters to move vertically. The P.R.A.W.N. Suit has its own beacon, similar to that of the Cyclops and Seamoth. The upgrade panel can be found on the top left of the P.R.A.W.N. Suit. A 3D model of the P.R.A.W.N. Suit can be found on Sketchfab. The P.R.A.W.N. Suit requires two power cells to operate. The user is able to dock the P.R.A.W.N. Suit into the Cyclops and the Moonpool. The P.R.A.W.N. Suit can be used to explore dark and/or deep places. [1] The P.R.A.W.N. Suit has a base crush depth of 900 meters, and a fully upgraded crush depth of 1700 meters, making it the best deep exploration vehicle. However, due to its limited vertical mobility, it may be wise to use a Cyclops to transport the Suit, as certain biomes may be quite difficult for it to get out of on its own, such as the Blood Kelp Zone or Underwater Islands. Upon entering the P.R.A.W.N. Suit, the player's oxygen stores will be replenished - unless the P.R.A.W.N. Suit is depleted of energy, as is the case with the Seamoth and the Cyclops.

In this case, the oxygen will slowly run out until the point where the player is losing oxygen within the P.R.A.W.N. Suit itself. The P.R.A.W.N. Suit has a health meter - reaching zero will cause the P.R.A.W.N. Suit to malfunction catastrophically and explode. Unlike the Seamoth however, the P.R.A.W.N. Suit is heavily armored and can endure most things that would otherwise severely damage or destroy a Seamoth, such as a Reaper Leviathan's grip. Four P.R.A.W.N. Suit fragments can be found in the Aurora's Prawn Bay, and in various Wrecks. The Aurora's fragments count for 25% of a blueprint, whereas wreck fragments (not including arm upgrades) count for 5%. Alternatively, the P.R.A.W.N. Suit can be used on land for exploration of dangerous areas. (Keep in mind that the P.R.A.W.N. Suit is not as mobile on land. The thrusters are nearly useless, even if you have the Prawn Suit Jump Jet Upgrade.) As the suit is immune to heat and poison (though not direct contact with lava), the P.R.A.W.N. Suit is also great for collecting resources in hazardous areas such as near Lava Geysers, or collecting Gas Pods, or for simple protection against most low-to-mid tier predators.

The P.R.A.W.N. Suit comes equipped with a 6x4 inventory space by default without upgrades, accessed from outside in the rear. Any items picked up with the claw arm are automatically placed in the Suit's inventory if there is room. Bear in mind though that there is a slight delay between clicking and activating the respective claw arm on the suit, so a player may accidentally punch a creature they are trying to collect, or miss a falling item. The P.R.A.W.N. Suit can be customized with the Vehicle Modification Station. The console will allow the P.R.A.W.N. Suit to be named and its colors to be changed. Unlike the Cyclops and Seamoth however, the P.R.A.W.N. Suit has six upgrade slots as opposed to just four. Two of the slots are restricted to arm upgrades, and can be identified by their purple colour. The Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nano Suit is a range of mechs designed to protect the pilot from extreme environments. The Mk.III is the latest iteration, and has so far only been rolled out by Alterra for their own high-value, phasegate-related operations.
