Doctor Who LEGO Set Coming Soon: Prepare for Time-Traveling Adventures "Doctor Who" fans know that size doesn't really matter — after all, the time machine used in that show is bigger inside than it is on the outside. So it shouldn't be any problem for fans to imagine time-travel adventures using a Lego TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). The Lego group will release this "Doctor Who" set at some point in December. "Lego Ideas 'Doctor Who' set will be available starting December!" the company wrote on Google+ and Facebook on Oct. 6. "Construct a stunningly detailed Lego version of the iconic TARDIS and role-play the Doctor's time-travel adventures!" [How Time Travel Works in Sc-Fi (Infographic)] A MONTHLY BOX OF GEEK & GAMER GEAR This month's crate has an exclusive t-shirt and an exclusive Funko POP! There are two more exclusives, too. It's definitely a good time to be a Loot Crate Subscriber! The "Doctor Who" LEGO set appears to include at least two of the Doctors, two Daleks (enemies of the Doctor), at least one of the companions who travels with the Doctor, a weeping angel and the sonic screwdriver (a multifunctional tool the Doctor uses to solve problems in all sorts of situations).

The company did not release a retail price for the set or availability details. The ninth series of the current iteration of "Doctor Who" began last month. "Doctor Who" has been running for most of the past 50 years; one of its distinguishing features is that every time the lead actor is ready to relinquish the role, the Doctor in the show dies and is resurrected as a new Doctor, who is played by the new lead actor. We're also on Facebook and Google+. LEGO Doctor Who: See the TARDIS, Daleks and Peter Capaldi’s Doctor in new set The official LEGO set for the BBC iconic sci-fi series has nearly arrived Friday 9 October 2015 16:48 BST Whovians, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for – that long sought-after Doctor Who LEGO set is almost here. Originally pitched by Doctor Who fan Andrew Clark through the LEGO Ideas website, where fans can submit speculative designs for sets that they’d love to see, the finished product is now a reality. Pictures of the set have been unveiled, and it’s everything you’d hope it would be.

The centrepiece of the kit is the current incarnation of the TARDIS, the Time Lord’s time (and space) ship, complete with all kinds of alien instruments and the classic blue Police Box exterior. The two main minifigures included are the current Doctor, as portrayed in the latest series by Peter Capaldi, and his companion Clara Oswald. Fans of Matt Smith’s Doctor will be pleased to know that his Eleventh Doctor is also included, complete with a bowtie and – of course – a fez. A Doctor Who set wouldn’t be complete without some of the show’s legendary villains –the Daleks are here, as well as the terrifying Weeping Angels. Remember not to blink while you’re assembling those ones. With Clara already confirmed to leave the TARDIS by the end of the current series – and Peter Capaldi’s Doctor rumoured to be on the way out too – can we expect an updated LEGO set with a new Doctor and companion soon? We sure hope so. LEGO Doctor Who will be available on December 1, priced £49.99

UPDATE: 6/22/16 1:00 PM PT: Following the removal of the images at the request of LEGO on June 10, the pictures of the “Sanctum Sanctorum” set have been released via Amazon Japan and TheBrickFan. The set, which will consist of 358 pieces and retail for $29.99, also has an official description. Stage a face-off against the portal beast in Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, with levitating function levers and mystical artifacts. Banish the portal beast from Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum! Team up and expel the portal beast from Doctor Strange’s mysterious headquarters with some super-heroic supernatural action! Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum features a portal beast with rotating teeth, moving eyes and tentacles that can trap minifigures, shelves for mystical artifact accessories, levitation effect for 2 minifigures, and levitation function for Doctor Strange’s cloak. Weapons include Karl Mordo’s quarterstaff and The Ancient One’s magical fans with eldritch calligraphy. Sanctum Sanctorum measures over 4″ (11cm) high, 12″ (31cm) wide and 7″ (18cm) deep. Marvel’s next film to open in theaters is “Doctor Strange,” which means their next big merchandise focus will be toys and playsets featuring Stephen Strange his allies, his enemies, and the film’s various locations. While not much is known about the film outside of the cast and what was shown in the first trailer, this new LEGO set features a look inside Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum and a possible battle from the film.

RELATED: Breaking Down Who’s Who in “Doctor Strange” The image first showed up on Imgur and appears to be from an official LEGO set box. The Sanctum Santorum is decorated with torches, tools, a chest of weapons, letters and skull in a bookshelf. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) appears to be fighting a tentacled foe with the help of Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejifor) and Wong (Benedict Wong). Both Strange and Wong have glowing hands — Strange’s hands themselves have a mystical glow from his powers and Wong seems to be wielding some sort of magical weapon. The MCU Exchange points out that octopus-like enemy in the Sanctum might be Shuma Gorath, an extra-dimensional demon. According to one comic book story line, Shuma Gorath tried to take over the earth while Stange and Wong were trapped inside another dimension. While there’s no way to tell what’s exactly going on in this LEGO scene without more context, it’s possible this demon could be one of the foes Strange fights in the film.
