Adventure Time's Lumpy Space Princess Meets B.A. Baracus In LEGO Dimensions Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is getting ready to introduce LEGO Dimensions players to a whole new set of characters and licenses through the second years of the toys-to-life video game, and who better to introduce a new character than a fellow new character? That’s the theory behind the “Whose the New Guy?” video series being released by WB Games. The first video was released at Comic-Con International: San Diego 2016 and featured Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time introducing B.A. Baracus from The A-Team. LEGO Dimensions had a busy Comic-Con this year. In addition to releasing the first “Who the New Guy?” video, WB Games also released a new trailer for LEGO Dimensions Year 2, and new details on the November 18 LEGO Dimensions Wave 7 launch. Wave 7 will feature new expansions based on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Sonic the Hedgehog, Gremlins, E.T. The Extraterrestrial, and Adventure Time.

Check out images from these new expansion packs in the gallery below. All LEGO minifigures included in wave 6-9 expansion packs (representing the second year of LEGO Dimensions) will come with special, golden Toy Tags which unlock a Battle Arena within the Adventure World of the figure’s brand. For the first time in a LEGO video game, the new Battle Arenas will offer competitive split-screen for local gameplay for up to four players. Each Battle Arena has four gameplay modes and comes with a unique set of traps, special powers, and interactive environments. Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, LEGO Dimensions is now available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the Wii U system.Although moviegoers may have been initially hesitant of a film based on popular children’s toy LEGOs, Warner Bros’ The LEGO Movie was released in 2014 to praise from both critics and fans. Written and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), the film went on to earn more than $469 million at the worldwide box office.

Shortly after The LEGO Movie’s success, Warner Bros announced a shared universe based on the LEGO characters, including The LEGO Batman Movie. Featuring Will Arnett reprising his LEGO Movie role as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, the upcoming film focuses entirely on the Dark Knight, while introducing key characters from the DC mythos like Dick Grayson aka Robin (Michael Cera), Alfred Pennyworth (Ralph Fiennes), The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl (Rosario Dawson), and Harley Quinn (Jenny Slate). Now, a new trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie features more of the film’s supporting cast. Warner Bros debuted the fourth trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie, teasing Batman’s dynamic with The Joker — who is not his greatest enemy — as well as a team-up with Police Commissioner Barbara Gordon. Additionally, the trailer features Batman’s sidekick Robin, an orphan Bruce Wayne adopted and forgot about, as well as Bruce’s loyal butler Alfred. Written by Seth Grahame-Smith (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and directed by Chris McKay (Robot Chicken) — though Lord and Miller are on board as producers — The LEGO Batman Movie follows the Caped Crusader as he realizes he can’t always fight evil alone and must accept help from others, namely Robin and Batgirl.

Previous teasers for The LEGO Batman Movie have teased the loneliness of the Caped Crusader, while the trailer that screened at Comic-Con International in San Diego this summer introduced Robin as Batman’s orphan son/sidekick. The latest trailer for The LEGO Movie spinoff capitalizes on the humor displayed by Batman in the film — he was, arguably, a scene stealer in the 2014 film and became a favorite among fans simply based on trailers — while expanding the world of Gotham city. Additionally, the trailer uses music to great effect, as have the previous teasers for The LEGO Batman Movie, shifting between Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow”, Three Dog Night’s “One is the Loneliest Number”, and Starship’s “We Build This City”. All in all, the fourth trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie offers more of what fans enjoyed both in previous teasers and in The LEGO Movie. It remains to be seen if The LEGO Batman Movie will receive as much critical acclaim and praise from moviegoers as The LEGO Movie — or perform as well at the box office as its predecessor, but The LEGO Batman Movie seems to be a fun continuation of the franchise.

Now, with the film set to hit theaters early in 2017, fans don’t have much longer to wait before making up their minds about The LEGO Batman Movie. I dunno about you, but I'm quite a bit more excited for the latter interpretation, and this new trailer from Warner Bros. is full of moments that make me think it could be even funnier than its hilarious predecessor. Skip to main content area The LEGO Ninjago Movie Trailer Drops, Cast, Release Date, And More Editor's note: This LEGO Ninjago Movie news hub will be updated and restructured with new information as it becomes available. The brick-snapping success of The LEGO Movie back in 2014 not only caused its barefoot box-office competition to step on proverbial painful pieces, but also set into motion plans for a potentially sprawling film franchise from an unlikely property source. Those plans will come to fruition with spinoff The LEGO Batman Movie hitting theaters in Februrary and later this year with an offshoot under the LEGO umbrella in The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The latter film has released the lineup for its primary voice cast, appropriately topped with a martial arts movie legend, and its first trailer... The LEGO Ninjago Movie Trailer The LEGO Ninjago Movie Release Date Moviegoers both young and old can expect to see the miniaturized martial-arts madness of The LEGO Ninjago Movie when it hits theaters on September 22, 2017.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Cast It appears that LEGO fan site The Brickset has come across a catalog from the recent 2016 Licensing Expo containing the cast lineup for fall 2017’s The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Much like its predecessor in The LEGO Movie, many of the names in the Ninjago listed lineup will ring familiar to comedy fans, notably with the acquisition of the acrobatic, self-stunt-performing cinematic chopsocky icon Jackie Chan, celebrated Broad City star Abbi Jacobson, momentum-riding movie-star-sibling Dave Franco (who actually voiced a small role in The LEGO Movie), former SNL star Fred Armisen and the surging scene-stealer of Ant-Man Michael Peña. Additionally, fans of HBO’s Silicon Valley will likely flip over the presence of that show’s awkward, casual-collared coders Kumail Nanjiani and Zach Woods. The LEGO Ninjago Movie Plot While plot details remain few and far between for The LEGO Ninjago Movie, an official synopsis of the Charlie Bean-directed film has also just surfaced, revealing that the adaptation will somewhat deviate from known Ninjago small screen canon under the context of what sounds like a Power Rangers-type teen dynamic where our square-edged stealthy heroes will juggle worldly responsibilities against the identifiable element of high school.

As the synopsis explains: “Ninjago is the story of six young ninja tasked with defending their island home, called Ninjago. By night, they’re gifted warriors, using their skills and awesome fleet of vehicles to fight villains and monsters. By day, they’re ordinary teens struggling against their greatest enemy: high school.” The titular Dark Knight in the February 10, 2017 release of The LEGO Batman Movie will advantageously wield wide demographic recognition in addition to quasi-sequel momentum as the first proper follow-up to the 2014 $469.1 million global success of the experimental franchise launch in The LEGO Movie. However, as a proprietary offshoot, LEGO Ninjago could become a crucial test that gauges the strength of the burgeoning film brand. Yet, working in its favor is the fact that Ninjago will have a built-in audience of children with the film being based on LEGO’s popularly prolific toy tent-pole which buttresses an animated television series of the same name, along with video games and various other media.
