LEGO's Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon Unboxed, Now Shipping with 4-pound Manual9/26/07 5:30am The biggest LEGO set ever, the $499 Ultimate Collectors Millennium Falcon, is now shipping, 5,000-pieces and four-pound ring-binded manual included. Yes, this thing is massive. Julie Stern from LEGO confirms: "We're a bit ahead of schedule, so some people who preordered now have their sets." In other words: "Great shot kid, that was one in a million!" Spoiler: Darth Vader is Luke's father, he dies at the end and Yoda, Frank Oz is. If you’re coming to this year’s Toy Fair expecting Lucasfilm and Disney to roll-out hundreds of tie-in toys for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you should prepare yourself for disappointment, because the movie is still more than ten months away, and most of the toy manufactures aren’t quite ready for those big reveals.Even so, LEGO, one of the companies who has been keeping their Star Wars line going strong even in the dry years with no new movies, has a lot of cool new building sets and mini-figs coming out in the next few months and they gave ComingSoon.net a preview of them during an opening day breakfast at Toy Fair 2015. The highlights of their upcoming Star Wars line includes the Slave 1 and the Tie/LN Starfighter (pictured at left), both which will be available in May, but they also previewed the Imperial Assault Carrier which includes four tie-fighters that attach to the bottom, a playset of the Death Star Final Duel including Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Emperor Palpatine and two Royal Guards

, and Imperial Shuttle Tydirium, all of which will be out in June.  The latter includes Han Solo, Leia, Chewbacca and two new Endor Rebel Troops. In September, LEGO are getting into action figure territory (sort of) with their Battle Figures of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, which are larger scale buildable figures with the same quality as the vehicles. One thing that might not exactly be evident is a new initiative from LEGO which are holiday advent calendars, those cool things where you open up a door each day leading up to Christmas and behind each door is a Star Wars mini figure. There are some cool mini-figs and vehicles in there including R2D2 wearing reindeer horns and C-3PO in a santa beard. It’s a little strange but a fun idea nonetheless and probably healthier than the candy one usually gets in an advent calendar. You can check out a full gallery of everything on display in the LEGO booth below. That’s one massive amount of toys, and one certain to drain your wallet before you can say “but I – stay in that cockpit!” Lucky you, a Naboo Starfighter (75092) from Star Wars Episode I is part of this release schedule. You’ll also see a Flash Speeder from that same film as well as the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (75094) from Return of the Jedi – and that’s only a tiny sample of what’s to come! One of the most fantastic sets to come in this batch is the Final Duel – Luke Skywalker VS Darth Vader in the Throne Room with Emperor Palpatine. The Death Star Final Duel (75093) comes with 724 pieces and will cost you a cool $79.99 this June. Here you’ll see a new Darth Vader minifigure – perhaps a bit taller than the original Darth Vader whom, if you’ve ever compared to the rest of the characters in the Star Wars LEGO universe, you know is entirely too short.

His helmet comes in two pieces instead of one – one below the head piece, another above. Just like the real Darth Vader! Three “polypack” sets will be released in the near future: A-Wing Starfighter (30272), AT-DP (30274), and TIE Advanced Prototype (30275). Another set from Star Wars Rebels: Imperial Assault Carrier (75106). This set will carry 4 mini-TIE Fighters for battle. The Imperial Assault Carrier (75106) will come with 1216 pieces and will cost you $129.99 this June. One set that’ll be released nearer the end of this year is the Star Wars Advent Calendar 2015 (75097). This set will contain Santa C-3PO and a reindeer R2-D2 very likely inspired by the original 1979 greeting card illustrated by Ralph McQuarrie. Next you’ll find the Ultimate Collector Series TIE fighter (75095). This build is minifigure scale and therefore massive. Collectors plate and fabulous new TIE pilot included. Below you’ll see the Designer Video for this TIE fighter as well.
