The game was, to the disappointment of many, released as a Wii-U exclusive in 2013 meaning that many players have missed out on one of the most critically acclaimed games in the LEGO franchise. The re-release, presumably a remaster along the lines of the recent Harry Potter collection, will be released Spring 2017 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and STEAM. Nintendo Wii U has Super Mario 3D World, there is Lego City Undercover, Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3. None of these games are available on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. If you are a fan of these games or intend to play them, then your obvious choice is the Nintendo Wii U. Likewise, there are some games that Sony and Microsoft would boast of and Nintendo will fail to deliver upon but then the games mentioned here are the more popular ones and most gamers would like to have rather than some done to dusted games on the two more expensive platforms. Nintendo Wii U comes with more games than you would get with the other consoles and there are many more lined up for the holiday season and at the beginning of 2015.
The Nintendo Wii U GamePad is a reason enough to go against the Sony and Microsoft consoles. A portable console, the Gamepad is actually a game changer. If you have not used the Gamepad and along with that the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, then you will not know how fascinating they are and why people are thronging to pick those up at the stores. Simply because they are not as well advertised as the Kinect or the DualShock don’t imply that the GamePad is inferior. It is actually far better and offers a new kind of gaming. The cost is also a good enough reason to choose Nintendo games consoles. They are always cheaper than the PlayStations and Xboxes. Their games are cheaper. Online access is free in the Wii U and the games which will be available in the near future will cost a fraction of what Sony and Microsoft would charge; that’s to exclude preloaded and free games. Saving a hundred bucks or two hundred at the start and then saving a few hundred more in the future is certainly a treat.
