- 5 months ago Welcome to the walkthrough for Chapter 1 of LEGO City Undercover. Below you will find a complete breakdown of the events you'll encounter during the story mode, as well as any Special Assignments that appear throughout. Start off by jumping in the police car parked at the end of the dock and driving (while following the green Sat Nav studs) to the LEGO City Police Department. Once in the Police Department, walk up to the main computer and wait for it to break. Then, fix the computer by rebuilding the broken blue pieces. To build, get close to the bricks and hold A. Next, follow Frank to the elevator on the right side of the room. Take a tour of the basement until you're tasked with getting your police uniform. Head downstairs and break all the crates, then rebuild them. Next, use the changing closet you just created to unlock your first outfit. Back up in the lobby, walk up to the main computer and press A to sync the communicator. After the cutscene, head up the stairs where you'll have a brief conversation with Ellie, after which you'll unlock the Detective Scan.
Use it in the blue aura by pressing A, then follow the footsteps to the cabinet on the right side of the floor to uncover a key. Pick it up with A and carry it back over to the chief's office and unlock the door. Finally, wake up the chief by breaking the shelf in the back of the room and rebuilding its pieces into a blaring radio. After the cut-scene, you will have a conversation with Ellie. After that, hop in your car and drive to the bank where some clowns are attempting a heist by following the green studs. Chase the get-away vehicle, ramming into it until the clown attempts to escape on-foot. Get out of the car with X, and then chase him. Once you get close enough, tackle him to the ground once the button-prompt displays. Finally, cuff the clown to end the arrest. Next, you'll need to chase down the second clown who has gone to ground. Head to the waypoint at The Red Cafe, then use the Criminal Scan point on the roof to find the clown hiding in a garage across the street.
Next, climb the vines on the fence and uncover the hiding suspect. After the clown runs off, carry the crate of junk to the green LEGO platform to the left and build a jump-pad to reach the next level. Look for the Detective Scan area, then follow the path to find a handle. Use it on the water-pump, then destroy the objects along the hose, allowing the water to reach the sprinkler on the end. This will grow a wall of vines which Chase can use to climb to the next area, finding the clown hiding in a dog house. Run this criminal down as well. Drive back to the docks where you began this chapter and enter the waypoint. Talk to the first worker here and he will ask for help in opening the gate to the shipyard. Ride his forklift to the top of the building and enter the door in the back. Once down below, flip the switch on the wall to open the gate. Once inside the gate, talk to another worker who is missing his sandwich. Use the Detective Scanner to find and return the worker's lunch to him.
He will then ask his buddy to lower a platform down, which will carry you onto the ship. Open the shipping container's door and chase down the final clown.
