Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey: Nintendo 3DS Game Review - Reviewed by Kidzworld on ( Rating: ) Help Laval unlock the secret of the triple-Chi armor before Cragger destroys the balance of Chima! Check out our game review for the details. Lego Legends of Chima is the latest Lego playtheme that just came out this year. It features warrior animals living in a natural paradise called Chima. Various animal tribes, such as Lion, Eagle, Wolf, Rhino, and Bear, battle to acquire and control a powerful element called Chi. Chi is used to power vehicles, gadgets, and even the warrior animals themselves. Cragger, the Crocodile Prince, has declared war on the Lions, who are the sworn protector of the Ancient Pool of Chi. You play as Laval, a Lion, and it is up to you to fight for the justice of Chima! Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey follows a familiar pattern from other LEGO games.

You defeat enemies in simple combat, collect studs, and build objects to progress in the game. Like other LEGO games, there are lots of unlockables and things to find and collect. Overall, it will probably take about a week of on and off play to get through the entire story mode and collect everything. Naturally, the most important element in any LEGO game is the ability to switch between characters to activate special abilities or objects. In Lego Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey, there are eight different animal tribes and you will get access to characters from each tribe. Every animal warrior has a couple of abilities. For example, the Lion can jump up certain walls and use their claws to slide down certain surfaces. Eagles can glide and use their sharp eyes to hit things far away. Overall, the game is a decent LEGO game for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is not too difficult, but the story is interesting and there is plenty of action and things to do. Fans of the TV series and LEGO games in general will be happy with this game.
