Labour of love: Gerry Burrows stands next to his Garrison of Moriah, which he constructed out of Lego in the basement of his house in Limerick, Pennsylvania, using 250,000 bricks Called the Garrison of Moriah, the 28ft long, nine-feet high castle is made up of 250,000 bricks and is inspired by Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.Mr Burrows said he always loved Lego as a child but stopped building when he went to high school, in a period Lego fans refer to as the 'Dark Ages'. Ten years later, as he and his wife prepared to buy their first house, Mr Burrows rediscovered his dusty bricks in the attic - and his love was rekindled.
He told Wired: 'I started thinking how I now have the money and space to actually build the things I wanted to build; sister to rampage through my Lego creations.'
