Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters in December, and the series of standalone companion Star Wars: Anthology films are rolling along as well: Rogue One has a plot and a cast photo; the still-unnamed Han Solo movie has directors. And while the status of a Boba Fett feature is a little murkier — director Josh Trank parted ways with Disney earlier this summer — Eric Demeusy has some ideas about what it could possibly look like. Demeusy, a director and animator, recently posted a minute-long teaser on his Vimeo account for what his version of a Boba Fett solo movie. The video seems modeled after the original teaser for The Force Awakens: voiceover narration, shots of a lone wanderer in a desert, and just enough expositiion to remind viewers of where they were and hint at what’s next. In this case, the fearsome bounty hunter was last seen in Return of the Jedi falling into the Sarlacc Pit of Tatooine, so the video opens with a shot of said pit and voiceover of C-3PO’s explanation from Jedi.

Footprints lead us to Fett, wandering through the sand and calling his sleek starship Slave I for a long-awaited escape. Ever since his debut in The Empire Strikes Back, the mysterious Fett has been a fan favorite, and many writers and artists have depicted his possible escape from the Sarlacc. Now that Disney has wiped the Expanded Universe from canon status, however, any continuation of Fett’s story would have to retell the story of his extrication. Here’s hoping it takes a note from Demeusy and includes Slave I,  still the coolest-looking starship in the galaxy. •Star Wars: Rogue One cast announced •A young Han Solo movie will be piloted by The Lego Movie directors •How young will young Han Solo be?Subscribe now to keep up with the latest in movies, television and music.Same day deliveryOnly £3.957 days a weekCollect for free in as little as 60 secWe'll hold your item for 7 daysLarge item delivery from next day7 days a weekLEGO631/66406)LEGO£29.99Credit options available find out moreCheck stockTell us where you are to check stock:123456789Add to TrolleyAbout this productRecreate iconic battles aboard Jabba's skiff with plank and storage hold, and deadly Sarlacc pit with opening mouth and space for a minifigure.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story / LEGO showcased some of its upcoming sets at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, and one in particular hints at Boba Fett's appearance in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Or, at least his ship's appearance. More #LEGO #StarWars Reveals from Nuremberg! #RogueOne & a Droid Tales-esque series titled The Freemaker Adventures. January 30, 2016 The paint job is a bit different, but the ship appears to be the bounty hunter's modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack vehicle. Originally used by Jango Fett, Slave 1 came into Boba Fett's possession after Jango's death. Some rumors suggest that Felicity Jones's character is Boba Fett's daughter, which would make his ship's appearance a little less surprising. Her costume—along with Diego Luna's, Donnie Yen's, and Jiang Wen's—is currently on display at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany. It's also been rumored that Darth Vader will appear in the film, though his costume has not been revealed. According to those rumors, Vader's suit has been faithfully recreated for the upcoming film.
