We’ve been patiently waiting for the release of The LEGO Batman Movie after seeing a couple trailers that really showed off the LEGO version of the Dark Knight, voiced by Will Arnett, joined by Michael Cera’s debut as Robin. While the initial trailers focused on Batman and Robin, with a little bit of Joker voiced by Zack Galifianakis, we hadn’t heard about too many other members of Batman’s Rogues Gallery. Most recently it was announced that they have cast the voice for one of these villains – Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face, who is arguably the second most well-known villain of the Batman mythology. What’s really exciting, and shows a bit of the fan service this entire movie seems to thrive upon, is that Billy Dee Williams will be voicing the duplicitous villain. Of course, this isn’t the first time Billy Dee “Don’t call me Lando” Williams has portrayed the character, having first appeared back in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman alongside Michael Keaton as Bats and Jack Nicholson as the Joker.

Unfortunately, Williams never got the chance to take the character further than District Attorney Harvey Dent, so this could offer some major payment to fans and Williams who were excited to see that evolution into Two-Face, at least with the voice talent. The LEGO Batman Movie looks to be a lot of fun and pretty rewarding for Batman fans, which almost guarantees a pretty healthy box office. Other confirmed voice actors include Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, and Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill for some reason. The Lego Batman Movie Found Its Two-Face, And We Love It The Lego Batman Movie has announced that Billy Dee Williams will reprise his role as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in the animated spin-off, a part that the legendary actor portrayed in Tim Burton's Batman back in 1989. That's because Billy Dee Williams' Harvey Dent never actually manifested into Two-Face in Batman, and he was ultimately replaced as the character by Tommy Lee Jones for Batman Forever. Chris McKay, who is making his feature film directorial debut with The Lego Batman Movie, made this revelation on Twitter. After being asked outright, "Please tell me Billy Dee Williams voices Two Face?" Chris McKay didn't dare beat around the bush, as he responded: He does https://t.co/sf1x4NtRzS— Chris McKay (@buddboetticher) November 30, 2016 At the moment we're not exactly sure quite how big Two Face's role in The Lego Batman Movie will be, but at least this time Chris McKay has already confirmed that Billy Dee Williams will get the full chance to portray Two Face.

Especially since he looked so spiffing just as Harvey Dent. I mean, just look at him. There's every chance that Lego Batman Movie might poke fun at the decision not to continue with Billy Dee Williams as Two Face in the Batman franchise. Well, at least that's the hope, because it would be a bit of a waste if they didn't. Billy Dee Williams previously opened up at the 2013 Wizard World Nashville Comic Con (via Comic Book) about not reprising the role for Batman Forever, admitting that he'd originally hoped that he would. However, once Tim Burton dropped out of the film and was replaced by Joel Schumacher the decision was made to take it in a "different direction." For a while there was an internet rumor that, despite being dropped as Harvey Dent in favor of Tommy Lee Jones, Billy Dee Williams still was actually paid for working on Batman Forever, as his original contract had guaranteed him the chance to do so. But during the same convention, Williams debunked this speculation, insisting that he only had a "one picture deal for Batman."

There's already quite a bit of hope surrounding The Lego Batman Movie, most of which comes off the back of the huge success of 2014's The Lego Movie. But it's also helped that as well as Will Arnett returning as the animated Caped Crusader, and the cast has impressively been rounded off by Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, Michael Cera as Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, and now Billy Dee Williams as Two Face. You can check out the Comic Con trailer for The Lego Batman Movie, below. The jury is still out on Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill, though. We'll get to if she and the film can deliver the goods when The Lego Batman Movie is released on February 10, 2017.Billy Dee Williams Will Provide the Voice of Two-Face in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE MovieBilly Dee WilliamsThe LEGO Batman MovieChris McKay The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay just announced that Billy Dee Williams will provide the voice of Two-Face in the film!

What makes this casting so awesome is the fact that Williams played Harvey Dent, who becomes Two-Face, in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman. We never got to see his transformation into Two-Face in Burton's Batman movies, so I couldn't be happier to hear that he will in some way be reprising his role after all these years.Williams joins an incredibly fun cast actors in the film, which also include Will Arnett as Batman, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Michael Cera as Robin, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, and Rosario Dawson as Catwoman. In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO® Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: The LEGO® BatmanMovie. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
