The movie follows the Dark Knight, once again voiced by Will Arnett, in his incredible hideout the Batcave, where he has pretty much any and everything he could want…except relationships. His only real relationship is with his butler Alfred (Ralph Fiennes), that is until Dick Grayson (Robin, voiced by Michael Cera) and Barbara Gordon (Batgirl, voiced by Rosario Dawson) show up and change things. Also starring is Zach Galifianakis as The Joker and Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange. Continue reading for more and to see the first images from The LEGO Batman Movie. Talking to USA Today, who shared the new images, Arnett said of the Batcave: Chris McKay directs the movie after working as the animation director on The LEGO Movie. He spoke about what made them feel they could pull off an entire movie centered around Bats after the character was so popular in a supporting role, while also describing it: “We thought if we can tell a well-rounded, funny story that’s action-packed, we can build a big movie around this character.

This is the movie we would want to see.” “Batman is an island onto himself, the only thing he doesn’t have is relationships. We’re making About a Boy as directed by Michael Mann.” Oh, and as for the current Batman focus, Ben Affleck as he takes on Henry Cavill’s Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Arnett has no problem choosing sides there: “I’m going to just to enjoy the show, but I’ll be rooting for Ben. I mean, he’s Batman.” Plus, he has gotten pretty close to that little rivalry before. The LEGO Batman Movie is currently scheduled for release on February 10, 2017. A trailer is expected to be released tomorrow, so be sure to drop by then to check it out! Topics: Animated, Movies, News, PhotosTime for another LEGO Polybag close up! Today we’ve got the LEGO Batman Movie Mini Batmobile! This was a featured promo bag at Toys R Us leading up to the release of the film and while we missed the opportunity to grab one in store we picked it up off eBay for just a few bucks.

Check out our review and speed build here: The Mini Batmobile [30521] was a relatively easy build with only 68 pieces and only took us a few minutes to snap together. It captures the spirit of the movie Batmobile pretty well and has some fun little features like a Battarang hood ornament and door flaps that can move up and down. This was a nice little addition to our Polybag collection! The Mini Batmobile Polybag Gallery Check out some of our up close photos of this set below! Want More Lego Dimensions News? Dick Grayson was a circus acrobat in Haly Circus and their main act, The Flying Graysons, when his parents were killed by mobster Anthony Zucco. Bruce Wayne saw it happen an instantly realized the connection between them. He then took Dick as his ward. He then showed Dick the Batcave, and revealed himself as Batman.

Bruce then offered Dick the mantle of Robin. Dick gladly accepted, and Robin was born. Over the years, Dick had grown to become too old for the mantle and gave it up to become the mantle based off the legendary Kryptonian vigilante, Nightwing. In between, Batman caught a child named Jason Todd stealing the wheels off the Batmobile. Wanting to help young Jason and stop him from continuing his life of petty crime, Batman took him in as the second Robin. They both grew a strong connection with each other, but Jason was getting noticeably more violent. Then in an incident, Jason was kidnapped and murdered by the Joker, yet years later, Jason returned as a neutral vigilante named the Red Hood. When Dick was visiting Haly Circus, he met a young boy named Tim Drake who admitted he knew that Batman was Bruce Wayne. With help from Dick, Tim convinced Batman that he needed a Robin as a balance. Tim was very willing to become that balance and Batman was reluctant at first but eventually followed his heart and made the right choice.
