But those rumors couldn’t begin to prepare us for the sheer amount of stuff that LEGO was planning to cram into this playset. Sure, we knew to expect the hidden poles and the Batmobile, but this thing also comes with the Batcycle, Batcopter, landing pads, and so much more. LEGO has been in the Batman game for a while, but this is different than almost anything they’ve done with the IP, and it’s very exciting to see how they’ve let their imagination run wild while still staying true to the 1960s TV series.

Check out 23 images of the set and minifigures below plus a video of the LEGO designers breaking down the various parts. The set contains 2,526 pieces, costs $269.99, and hits stores on March 1st. Miss a more campy, less broody Batman? The company is releasing a new set based on the 1966 Batman TV show starring Adam West. The colorful set has a whopping 2,526 pieces, including 9 minifigures, and will cost $270 USD. Inside Batman's '66 Batcave you'll find not only the Batmobile, but the Caped Crusader's helicopter and motorbike. And, you can shoot stuff from the first two. With two stories, the Batcave has enough room for a high-tech lab equipped with test tubes, gadgets, and a computer. Everything Bats needs to do science. The massive set also includes a portion of Wayne Manor, including an exterior wall to climb on. Decorated for the classiest of gentlemen, Bruce Wayne's study is where you'll find the Batphone. There's also, of course, two poles for Batman and Robin to slide into the Batcave.

The poles are hidden behind a sliding bookcase that's activated by a secret button under Wayne's Shakespeare bust. Batman and Robin (and two separate figures for their everyday alter egos) are included, along with The Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler, The Penguin, and Batman's loyal butler Alfred. There's also a cat.
