Since November 12, 2015, the Xbox One has featured a long list of backwards compatible Xbox 360 games. And that list just keeps growing — so much that we wanted to make sure you’re kept up-to-date on the newest games patched for compatibility. Below you’ll find all the disc-based and digital games that function on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Not originally a feature of the Xbox One, backwards compatibility became a feature after being patched into a new dashboard update. None of your Xbox 360 games will work on Xbox One without connecting to the internet and downloading an update, so make sure you’re active and online before attempting to play any of these games.
If you own a game digitally, just check out the My Games tab on the dashboard, where previous-gen games can be re-downloaded for free on the Xbox One.
