If you haven't played LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham yet, you don't know what a crazy ride you're missing. If you have played it, well, let's be honest... There's no way you've gotten to 100% yet. It's just impossible, in a game of this size, to complete it fast. There are over 150 playable Minifigures in LEGO Batman 3, all of them plucked from DC Comics history and continuity. It goes without saying that there are plenty of obscure characters in that enormous catalog, but there are some longtime fan-favorites as well. Here are ten of the most desired DC characters that you'll want to play as, and what you have to do in the game to get them. Getting your virtual hands on the Atom is a big deal in LEGO Batman 3. Throughout the Free Play hubs and worlds, you'll run across elaborate rat-maze contraptions that only someone very small can access. Don't bother trying to use Brainiac's shrink ray to shrink down another character to enter the maze; the effects of that gun only last for a few seconds.

You can always unlock the "Mini Characters" Red Brick, which turns all of your characters that small, but it's a pain to go back and forth to the Extras menu just to turn it on, and then do the thing, and then go back to turn it off, etc. The easiest and quickest way to access those small areas is with the Atom, who can shrink at will. The Atom can be acquired during the level "The Big Grapple," but only in Free Play mode. After escaping the big green dome bubble with Plastic Man, go around to the open area between Green Lantern (who's still being mind controlled by Brainiac) and the dome. Destroy the three silver items there and then build with your brand new LEGO bricks. This triggers a grappling hook to the left, so go to it and grapple and it creates a bunch of green toxic goop all over the floor. It also creates a hovering cleanup vehicle, which you should use to mop up the goop. Next, go park your hovering vacuum car over the contraption you built a minute ago with those exploded silver pieces.

Two levers pop up; pull them and there it is: the Atom character token. In the Watchtower, go to the Trophy Room. Fly up to the platform on the right side of the room. Use Brainiac to shrink the statues, and shazam. There's Black Adam's token. Deathstroke can be found in the "Big Trouble in Little Gotham" level, and is easy to get regardless of whether you're in Story Mode or Free Play. In the second area, where Flash and Joker team up to fight bad guys at Joker's carnival, look for five fireworks spinners. Use a grappling hook to pull on each one, and after they've all gone off, you're rewarded with Deathstroke's character token. From the Hall of Justice hub, jump down the big hole into the Hall of Doom area. Outside the Hall of Doom is a swamp area where you'll find a long row of mushrooms growing. Look for the mushroom that has a circular, glowing gate around it. That's right: it's a race. Just follow the gates and jump on each mushroom in turn, and you'll get Doomsday's token as your reward.

You'll want to have plenty of coins saved up for Doomsday; at 1,250,000 coins, he's one of the most expensive characters in the game. As long as you're at the Hall of Doom, you might as well go ahead and get... Go inside the Hall of Doom and work your way through the various character quests until you get to one called "Five Studs Please," in which Ms. Quinn herself gives you a mission. After you've spoken to her, several patients will appear inside the Hall of Doom. Go and speak to each one in turn, and then have them follow you to Harley. She'll give you her character token as your reward. Kilowog can be found as you enter the big temple in the "Need for Greed" level. Pull down the big pillar and then look for a birds nest with 3 eggs inside. Destroy the eggs and then destroy the big bird that appears. Claim Kilowog as your prize (if you can get past the baby bird murderer guilt). While Free Playing in the London part of the "Europe Against It" level, look for the wrecking ball near the bus.

Have Brainiac shoot his blaster at the wrecking ball, and it will grow bigger. That's all you have to do. The wrecking ball falls on its own onto a boat, which dispenses Lobo's token. In the "Space Station Infestation" level, fly up and look on the right of the armory. There's a missile here that Brainiac can shrink. Destroy the crate that appears and then fly back up to nab the character token for Reverse Flash. While you're in this level, you can also get... During the Firefly boss fight, go around to the left of the spot where you started in this area. Look for a blue grate above you and use a power suit equipped with magnetic control to open the grate. Switch to a flying character (or suit) and soar up into the grate to get John Stewart's token. Swamp Thing is one of the characters that comes in more than one flavor. You have your original Swamp Thing, and then there's the New 52's version of Swamp Thing. Let's grab them both. The fourth character quest that becomes available in the Hall of Doom is called "The Garden of Love."

It involves going outside and helping Poison Ivy out by putting out some fires. Have her follow you all the way around to the left of the building and Swamp Thing will be waiting for her there. He'll give you his own token when you hand her over. The New 52 Swamp Thing is found on the Orange Lantern homeworld, Odym. Leave the main village and look for a collection of small huts. Destroy the crates there, then blow up the sliver lock that appears. Go inside the hut and you've got the token. LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, Lego, Batman, DC Comics, Video Games, TT Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Tips, How-To, Minifigures, characters, Unlockable - 1 year 7 months ago Follow the trail of ghostly studs to the room where you battled Joker and Lex in the previous level. Equip Batman's Electricity Suit and destroy the EMP bomb. Switch to Martian Manhunter and use the portal that was underneath the bomb. Use Martian Manhunter's mind control powers to take control of the janitor and have him throw the nearby switch, disabling the room's force field.

Head to the back of the room and use Batman or Cyborg's Power/Demolition suit to blow up the silver objects in front of the gold wall. Now use any character with a laser to cut a hole in the gold wall. Proceed through to start Level 5. EditMinikit 1 (Free Play) Use Martian Manhunter or Plastic Man to slip through the vent in the floor inside the forcefield. You'll pick up a Minikit when you exit the vent on the outside. EditCharater Token - Beast Boy (Free Play) Use the Techno Terminal on the lower area of the right side of the hanger and you'll obtain an object that Bat-Mite really wants. You'll find him on the hanger floor on the right side towards the back near the ships. EditAdam West in Peril (Free Play) Put out the flames on the left side of the area to save Adam West. EditMinikit 2 (Free Play) Grapple an orange plug on the left side of the area and you'll pull down some flaming wreckage. Put out the flames and collect the Minikit. EditCharacter Token - The Atom (Free Play) Destroy the silver objects in the back of the area and interact with the bricks to build a... uh, big green thing.

Hop on the cleaning vehicle on the left (make sure you got Minikit 2 first) and drive over the four puddles of green slime. Park the vehicle on the green object you build earlier and pull the switches on either side for your Character Token. EditMinikit 3 (Free Play) Use someone with the 'sense' ability in the swarm of bats on the right side of the area to find a Lantern Pad. Use the pad to construct a green wall. Use your 'sense' character to see through the wall and activate the four nobs to earn a Minikit. Use Batman's Sensor Suit or Manhunter's Martian-sense at the left side of the force field to detect a blue magnetic lever. Then use either Robin or Cyborg's Magnetic Suit to interact with it. This will spill some toxic goo, bringing a nearby janitor over to clean it up. Switch to Martian Manhunter and take over the janitor with his mind control powers. As the janitor, run to the right side of the room and interact with the computer. EditMinikit 4 When interacting with the computer after solving the color puzzle, click the other buttons to earn some purple studs.

The button on the far right will present you a small puzzle. Rotate the tiles until a picture of a Minikit is shown and you'll be awarded with a Minikit of your very own! Don't forget to have the janitor collect the Minikit before closing the hangar doors. Click the center button on the computer. Align the rings of each lock so that the colors match (start with the outer ring and spin it until it lights up then work your way inward). Once all three locks are engaged, click the central button then the check box to close the hanger door. Walk down the corridor until you come to two Brainiac tentacles. Switch to Cheetah and have her dig in the nearby dirt mound to unearth some bricks. Interact with them to build a Flash Pad. Switch to Flash and use the pad to build a large knife that will carve the tentacles into sushi. Hop in the elevator and take it up to the next level. EditMinikit 5 Straight after defeating the first set of tentacles destroy the four pieces of sushi for a Minikit. EditMinikit 6 (Free Play) Use someone with the 'sense' ability to see through the green wall.

Click on all three gold dishes to earn a Minikit. EditMinikit 7 (Free Play) Activate the Techno Terminal and a gold object will rise from the floor. Cut a square shape out of the face with a laser and claim your Minikit. Switch to Wonder Woman and head up the ladder on the right. Grapple the orange plug to open a door on the lower level. Switch to Flash, head in the door and destroy all the objects within. Interact with the resulting bricks to build a treadmill. Run on the treadmill to activate a pair of lasers. Switch to Wonder Woman and stand on the Deflect Pad. Redirect the lasers at the gold parts of Brainiac's tentacles to destroy them. EditRed Brick - Studs x10 (Free Play) Smash the objects by the Deflect Pad to get the bricks needed to build the Plastic Man Pad. Use the pad and the Red Brick will appear in its place. Interact with the hopping bricks behind where the tentacles were to build a lever next to the one that's already there. Pull one lever while a teammate pulls another.

This will activate the elevator for another team of heroes. Head downstairs and use Batman's Sensor Suit to peer through the green wall. Spin the two dials until the color on the side facing inward matches the colors of the central piece. This will give Batman control of the pistons in the room above. Switch to Cyborg, change into his Stealth Suit and send him up to the piston room. Activate the Stealth Suit to bypass the security camera. EditMinikit 8 Before moving Cyborg through the piston room, switch to the Magnet Suit and walk up the blue pipes on the wall. Switch to the Electricity Suit and use the Electricity Terminal to drain the electric charge from the area. Change to the Giant Suit and bust open the wall on the right by interacting with the green handles. Finally, don the Sonar Suit, stand on the button and shatter the glass for your well-deserved Minikit. Have Batman hit the button to move the pistons then switch back to Cyborg and move him through the room. Switch back and forth until you make it to the other side.

Use the panel in the room past the pistons to create platforms for Batman and Joker to reach the right side of the area. Don Batman's Space Suit and use the laser to cut a bow tie shape out of the gold part of the wall to the right of the force field. Switch to Joker and change into his Magnet Suit to interact with the blue magnetic lever behind the gold panel. This will deactivate the force field and allow Cyborg to rejoin the party. Switch to Cyborg's Giant Suit and tear the door on the right down via its green handles and proceed into the next area where you'll find two more Brainiac tentacles. Switch to Batman's Sensor Suit and use it at the green wall. Align the mechanisms and a crate will appear. Grapple the orange plug on the crate to collect the token for Batman's Arctic Suit. Don the Power Suit and destroy the silver hatch on the water tank. Now use Batman's Arctic Suit on the tentacles to freeze them solid. Switch to Cyborg and engage his Giant Suit to smash through the frozen tentacles.

Defeat the Brainiac minions then use a Magnet Suit to open the blue magnetic object in the back of the area to reveal a lever. Pull the lever and you'll be able to collect the token for Joker's Flower Suit. Use the Flower Suit to control the guard behind the glass on the left side of the room and have him pull the nearby lever. Time for another team to take charge. EditMinikit 9 (Free Play) Use an electricity character like Shazam to power the Electrical Terminal on the left for a Minikit. EditCharacter Token - Stargirl (Free Play) Use magnet power to pull down some glass objects from the ceiling on the right. Bust them open with a sonar attack and collect the Character Token inside. EditMinikit 10 (Free Play) Don Batman's Scuba Suit (or use Aquaman)and hop in the water on the right. Pull the switch on the right wall to drain the water. Bust open the silver hatch in the floor with an explosive attack to get at the Minikit inside. Head right and smash the crates. Interact with the bricks that were inside to build a Fueling Machine for Lex's Space Suit.

Gas up and fly up to the platform on the right. Switch to the Techno Suit and interact with the nearby panel. Click the colored buttons in the order shown along the bottom of the display (blue, green, yellow, red). Enter the correct sequence and a Techno Panel will be ready to use below. Switch to Robin, don the Techno Suit and interact with the panel to activate one of the giant grapple guns. Switch back to Lex and laser the gold object on the wall to uncover a Grapple Point. Switch to Robin and have him use the Grapple Point to join Lex on the upper platform. Switch to the Magnet Suit and to remove the blue magnetic clamp from the Charging Station. Now switch to Killer Croc. Jump into the water on the left. Find the green-handled panel on the wall and yank it off. Destroy the object behind the panel and a dark area will open above you. Switch to Robin, charge up his Illumination Suit, and navigate him to the dark area. He should brighten things up to reveal a few hopping bricks. If nothing happens at first, just try recharging the suit.
